On Saturday, September 5, NFL teams were forced to trim their roster to 53 players.

Here is the most notable player that was cut by each team. Players who were cut September 3 or later were considered which is why players such as Leonard Fournette and Mohamed Sanu are not included.

Some of these players will end up starting the year on the 16-man practice squad of the team that cut them. Some have already resurfaced with new teams.

Arizona Cardinals - Kentrell Brice, S

Undrafted out of Louisiana Tech in 2016, Brice was in the starting secondary for the Packers 10 times in 2018.

Atlanta Falcons - Laquon Treadwell, WR

Since being selected 23rd overall by the Vikings in 2016, Treadwell has yet to perform to the billing of being a first round pick (totaled 65 receptions for 701 yards and two scores in four years).

Baltimore Ravens - Kenjon Barber, RB

Barber was returning kicks for the Eagles during their Super Bowl-sinning season of 2017 and has received 100 NFL carries out of the backfield.

Buffalo Bills - Andre Roberts, WR

It was a bit surprising to see Roberts hit the cutting block as he has been named to the Pro Bowl as a return specialist each of the last two seasons and was a First Team All-Pro with the Jets in 2018. According to USA Today though, the Bulls fully intend to re-sign him.

Carolina Panthers - Reggie Bonnafon, RB

Bonnafon scored on a 59-yard run in Week 5 last year against the Jaguars and also returned six kicks for Carolina last year in his rookie season.

Chicago Bears - Cairo Santos, K

According to ESPN, there is a chance that Santos is brought back as Eddy Pineiro has been sidelined for most of camp with a groin injury, and it’s unclear if he will be ready to kick come Week 1.

Cincinnati Bengals - Brandon Allen, QB

Forced into action for three starts under center for the Broncos in 2019, Allen wasn’t very accurate (completed 46.4 percent of his passes).

Cleveland Browns - Chad Thomas, DE

A third round pick in 2018, Thomas started eight games for the Browns last season and finished with four sacks.

Dallas Cowboys - Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, S

Clinton-Dix has started 90 of his 96 career appearances, has picked off 16 passes, and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2016 while with the Packers.

Denver Broncos - Todd Davis, LB

Davis has started 58 games for Denver over the last four seasons and has combined to total 248 tackles in the last two.

Detroit Lions - David Blough, QB

With Matthew Stafford injured, Blough started five games in 2019 but was unable to win any while throwing four touchdowns compared to six interceptions.

Green Bay Packers - Jake Kumerow, WR

Kumerow had multiple catches in four games last season and added a 23-yard reception in the NFC Championship Game.

Houston Texans - Greg Mancz, C

The undrafted Mancz was a 16-game starter for Houston in 2016 and was a starter 12 more times over the ensuing three seasons.

Indianapolis Colts - Marcus Johnson, WR

A member of the 2017 Super Bowl-winning Eagles, Johnson started six games for Indianapolis last season finishing the year with 17 catches for 277 yards and two touchdowns.

Jacksonville Jaguars - Mike Glennon, QB

Glennon has started 22 games since being drafted in 2013, 13 of which came in his rookie season.

Kansas City Chiefs - Matt Moore, QB

The 36-year-old Moore started two games for Kansas City last year and has a career record of 16-16 as a starting quarterback.

Las Vegas Raiders - Damarious Randall, S

A first round pick by Green Bay in 2015, Randall has started 56 games and intercepted 14 passes over five seasons.

Los Angeles Chargers - Ryan Groy, C

Groy started a total of 14 games for the Bills spamming from 2016-18.

Los Angeles Rams - John Kelly, RB

Kelly received only three carries last season, but he had 25 rush attempts in the last two games of 2018.

Miami Dolphins - Josh Rosen, QB

It has been a horrific two years for Rosen in the pros after he was selected 10th overall by the Cardinals in 2018. He will be joining the Buccaneers practice squad.

The 29-year-old Jones started 13 games while with the Giants in 2017.

New England Patriots - Lamar Miller, RB

While Miller sat out all of last season with injury, he rushed for 4,905 yards and 29 scores from 2014-18.

New Orleans Saints - Patrick Omameh, G

Going into 2019, Omameh was a starter for 56 of his 67 NFL appearances (started one game for New Orleans last season).

New York Giants - Jon Halapio, C

Halapio was the starting center for the Giants in their first 15 games of last season but missed the season finale with an Achilles injury.

New York Jets - Donte Moncrief, WR

The 27-year-old Moncrief was able to grab 13 touchdown receptions in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Philadelphia Eagles - Rasul Douglas, CB

In three seasons with Philadelphia, Douglas started 18 games and picked off five passes. He has since been claimed by the Panthers.

Known as a first round bust, Lynch has just a 1-3 record as a starting quarterback since being taken 26th overall in 2016.

San Francisco 49ers - Dion Jordan, DE

Selected third overall in 2013 by the Dolphins, Jordan has just 10.5 sacks and four starts in his career.

Seattle Seahawks - Paul Richardson, WR

Richardson’s best season came in 2017 while with the Seahawks when he caught 44 passes for 703 yards and six touchdowns.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - A.Q. Shipley, C

The 34-year-old Shipley has started 70 games in his career including all 16 with the Cardinals last season.

Tennessee Titans - Trevor Siemian, QB

Siemian was Denver’s starting quarterback 24 times in 2017-18 and posted a winning record of 13-11. He is expected to start the year on Tennessee’s practice squad.

Washington Football Team - Adrian Peterson, RB

The fifth-leading rusher in NFL history, Peterson ran for 1,940 yards in his two years with Washington. He has now signed with the Lions.
