With Week 3 now in the books, let’s take a look at the players who excelled in fantasy football despite being mostly unowned.
In order to be eligible for the list, the player must have been owned in less than 25 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues. Each week, one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, and one tight end will be highlighted.
QB - Ryan Fitzpatrick, Dolphins (160 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 38 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 1 reception)
For the second straight week, Fitzpatrick is the quarterback for this list. According to the Dolphins’ team website, he set a franchise single-game record for completion percentage in Week 3 (18-20).
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Gilbert Highland) completed 18-of-20 passes for 160 yards and 2 TDs, while also running for a score, in Miami's 31-13 win over Jacksonville on Thursday night. He wasn't the only Arizonan to shine ... #Jaguars #Dolphins https://t.co/sUm3d6C9WS

RB - Rex Burkhead, Patriots (49 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, 7 receptions, 49 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown)
After totaling just four total touchdowns in the two previous seasons, Burkhead found paydirt three times in Week 3. Now in his eighth season, it was the first time he had three scores in one game.

RB - Jeff Wilson Jr., 49ers (15 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 3 receptions, 54 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown)
The 49ers were already down running backs Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman in Week 3, and Jerick McKinnon also left early. That put Wilson in the forefront who scored five touchdowns last year despite limited action.
My Week 4 Waiver Wire column - Justin Jefferson, Carlos Hyde, Brandon Aiyuk, Jeff Wilson Jr., Allen Lazard, Myles Gaskin, Tee Higgins, and Nick Foles are among 50-plus players mentioned as possible adds this week. (Will be updated after MNF) https://t.co/bVuvtHfhFg pic.twitter.com/QwdOIhwS89

WR - Cedrick Wilson, Cowboys (5 receptions, 107 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns)
With Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb entrenched as Dallas’ top three receivers, Wilson barely saw the field in the first two games. Drafted in the sixth round in 2018, his five receptions in Week 3 equaled his career total entering the game, and he tallied his first two career touchdowns.
Looking at Cedrick Wilson's TD that the #Seahawks allowed and it was him against KJ Wright in the slot. That's an easy mismatch that Dak instantly knew to throw to.

The #Cowboys were in 10-pers (4WR) and SEA tried to play nickel. Not sure why they didn't put Adams on Wilson? pic.twitter.com/IPtLdH56p5
WR - Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers (5 receptions, 70 receiving yards, 31 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown)
A first-round pick of the 49ers in 2020, Aiyuk missed Week 1 with injury and totaled just two receptions in Week 2. Now only did he catch five passes in Week 3, but he received three carries including a 19-yard run for his first career score in the third quarter.

TE - Jimmy Graham, Bears (6 receptions, 60 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns)
Once the premier tight end in fantasy, Graham had just 1,083 yards and five touchdowns over the past two seasons (2018-19). Sunday was his first multi-score game since November 9, 2017.
