On Saturday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced five new members. Congratulations go out to Steve Atwater, Isaac Bruce, Steve Hutchinson, Edgerrin James, and Troy Polamalu for being inducted.

Here are 12 notable players who will be eligible to be inducted for the first time in 2021. The list of players eligible for the first time were found at Not In Hall of Fame.

1

Jared Allen, DE (Chiefs 2004-07, Vikings 2008-13, Bears 2014-15, Panthers 2015)

Allen led the league in sacks both in 2007 and 2011, the latter season seeing him finish with 22 on the year (tied for second-most in a single season). In eight of his 12 seasons, he reached a double-digit sack total, and the 136 he recorded in his career are the 12th-most in NFL history.

2

Matt Hasselbeck, QB (Packers 1999-2000, Seahawks 2001-10, Titans 2011-12, Colts 2013-15)

A three-time Pro Bowler, Hasselbeck helped guide the Seahawks to the Super Bowl in the 2005 season, and he went 85-75 as a starting quarterback in the regular season. In a 17-year career, he threw for 36,638 yards and 212 touchdowns.

3

Steven Jackson (Rams 2004-12, Falcons 2013-14, Patriots 2015)

Playing 12 seasons in the NFL, Jackson rushed for 11,438 yards which is the 18th-most in league history. His 2,334 yards from scrimmage in 2006 (1,528 rushing yards, 806 receiving yards) has only been topped six times in the history of the league.

4

Calvin Johnson, WR (Lions 2007-15)

The 2012 season was a magical one for Johnson as he set a single-season record with 1,964 receiving yards. While he retired after just nine years in the league, he still put together an awesome career consisting of 731 catches for 11,619 yards and 83 touchdowns.

5

Logan Mankins, LG (Patriots 2005-13, Buccaneers 2014-15)

Spending the first nine of his 11 seasons with New England, Mankins was part of the protection that helped make Tom Brady so successful. The left guard was named to seven Pro Bowls and was a First Team All-Pro in 2010.

6

Peyton Manning, QB (Colts 1998-2010, Broncos 2012-15)

Making 14 Pro Bowls (and being named a First Team All-Pro seven times) in 17 seasons, Manning put together a career that can be rivaled by few, if any. The two-time Super Bowl winner and five-time MVP ranks third in league history in both passing yards (71,940) and passing touchdowns (539).

7

Charles Tillman, CB (Bears 2003-14, Panthers 2015)

Tillman’s speciality was always prying the ball loose as his 44 forced fumbles are tied for sixth-most in league history. The two-time Pro Bowler also intercepted 38 passes over 13 seasons, returning eight of them for scores.

8

Michael Vick, QB (Falcons 2001-06, Eagles 2009-13, Jets 2014, Steelers 2015)

One of the most dynamic quarterbacks in NFL history, Vick’s 1,039 rushing yards in 2006 were the most ever by a quarterback until he was surpassed by Lamar Jackson in 2019. The four-time Pro Bowler threw for 133 scores in his career and also had 36 rushing touchdowns.

9

Wes Welker, WR (Chargers 2004, Dolphins 2004-06, Patriots 2007-12, Broncos 2013-14, Rams 2015)

Named to the Pro Bowl five times in his 12 years, Welker had at least 111 catches five times and led the league on three different occasions. His 903 receptions rank 22nd all-time in the NFL. SB Nation writes how he’s hoping his fourth Super Bowl appearance finally results in a ring (currently San Francisco’s wide receivers coach, played in two Super Bowls with New England, one with Denver).

10

Roddy White, WR (Falcons 2005-15)

White led the NFL with 115 catches in 2010, and he went over the 1,000-yard mark in receiving for six straight seasons from 2007-12. During his 11-year career, he totaled 808 catches for 10,863 yards and 63 touchdowns.

11

Kevin Williams, DT (Vikings 2003-13, Seahawks 2014, Saints 2015)

Williams was one of the premier defensive tackles in his heyday, and he made six Pro Bowls (and had five First Team All-Pro nods) from 2004-10. A superb run-stopper, he also got to the quarterback fairly often with 63 career sacks.

12

Charles Woodson, CB/S (Raiders 1998-2005, 2013-15, Packers 2006-12)

It was a marvelous 18-year career for Woodson as his accolades include being 2009 Defensive Player of the Year, 1998 Defensive Rookie of the Year, a nine-time Pro Bowler, and a Super Bowl champion. Altogether, he intercepted 65 balls (tied for fifth all-time) and returned 11 for touchdowns (tied for second all-time).
