Here’s a look at the Week 5 fantasy stars who were likely unowned. In order to be eligible to make an appearance, the player must have been owned in less than 25 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues. Each week, one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, and a tight end will be highlighted.
Quarterback - Teddy Bridgewater, Saints (314 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, 1 interception, 7 rushing yards)
Sunday marked just the second time in Bridgewater’s 32 career starts in which he threw for four touchdown passes (also threw four on December 20, 2015). As a matter of fact, those are the only two games where he’s thrown for more than two.
"Every morning, I'm able to wake up and put my feet on the ground, I'm able to tie my own shoes, and there was a time in my life that I wasn't able to do that."@Saints QB Teddy Bridgewater is thankful for the win, but more thankful just to be on the field. pic.twitter.com/EjNQoBZFV0

Running back - Chase Edmonds, Cardinals (68 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 3 receptions, 18 receiving yards)
Edmonds has slowly seen his playing time increase as the year has gone on, and he received a season-high eight carries in Week 5. His 37-yard touchdown scamper midway through the fourth quarter gave the Cardinals a 14-point lead. He is included in Sports Illustrated’s Week 6 waiver wire pickups.

Running back - Reggie Bonnafon, Panthers (80 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown)
An undrafted rookie, very few fans probably had an idea who Bonnafon was as he had just two carries entering Sunday. While his teammate Christian McCaffrey had a ridiculously productive day, Bonnafon scored on a 59-yard run late in the fourth quarter to increase the Panthers lead from one to seven.

Wide receiver - Byron Pringle, Chiefs (6 receptions, 103 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown)
Another week, another Chiefs' wide receiver that breaks out. The undrafted rookie caught just two passes in four games prior to showing out in a big way for Kansas City on Sunday.
Any Chiefs WR getting targets is worth an add. Time to scoop up Byron Pringle ✍️

Wide receiver - Darius Slayton, Giants (4 receptions, 62 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown)
A fifth round pick in 2019, Slayton began to see a little more action in the previous two games, but with Golden Tate returning from suspension, it seemed like that may not be the case in Week 5. He caught a 35-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter for what was his first career score.
WR Darius Slayton was a top-100 prospect in the 2019 draft class for me. And the Giants got him in the 5th round.

Terrific value that will pay off for NYG. https://t.co/OQvZ2SiDid
Tight end - Gerald Everett, Rams (7 receptions, 136 receiving yards)
Fantasy players may want to take a look at Everett who now has 12 receptions on 19 targets in his last two games. Now in his third season, he easily surpassed his previous career-high of 95 receiving yards.
