The MLB playoffs have just four teams remaining as the Houston Astros will take on the New York Yankees in the ALCS while the Washington Nationals will play the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLCS.

Six teams have been eliminated (including the two that lost in the Wild Card Games). Here is the most important free agent for the upcoming offseason for those six franchises.

A list of free agents were found at MLB.com. Those that have options for 2020 are not included.

1

Atlanta Braves - Josh Donaldson, 3B (Age: 34)

After an injury-plagued 2018, Donaldson was signed to a one-year deal by Atlanta. He ended up playing 155 games and hit 37 homers as he once again began to resemble the player who was the 2015 AL MVP. Yahoo Sports lists Donaldson as a player the Phillies should take a look at to shore up third base for them.

2

Los Angeles Dodgers - Hyun-Jin Ryu, SP (Age: 33)

After dealing with a bevy of injuries the past few seasons, Ryu started 29 games for the Dodgers in 2019. He was lights out for most of the season and ended up leading the majors with a 2.32 ERA.

3

Milwaukee Brewers - Jordan Lyles, SP (Age: 29)

An acquisition near the trade deadline that didn’t receive much fanfare, Lyles was superb after joining the Brewers. In 11 starts, he went 7-1 with a 2.45 ERA.

4

Minnesota Twins - Jake Odorizzi, SP (Age: 30)

An All-Star for the first time in 2019, Odorizzi went 15-7 with a 3.51 ERA while striking out 10.1 hitters per nine innings in 30 starts for Minnesota.

5

Oakland Athletics - Tanner Roark, SP (Age: 33)

Roark is someone that has been counted on for 30+ starts in recent years as he has combined for 124 starts and a 3.99 ERA since 2016.

6

Tampa Bay Rays - Avisail Garcia, RF (Age: 28)

Garcia rebounded after a miserable 2018 with the White Sox. Appearing in 125 games for the Rays, his solid numbers included a .282 batting average and a career-high of 20 home runs.
