The Miami Dolphins over/under win total of 4.5 is the least in the NFL.

With the NFL regular season opener just a little over a month away, let’s make a prediction on five over/under win totals (over/under win totals taken from FanDuel Sportsbook).

I went 4-1 in my over/under predictions last season, so let’s hope for more of the same.

1

Atlanta Falcons - Over 8.5 wins

An offense featuring a boatload of playmakers (quarterback Matt Ryan, running back Devonta Freeman, and wide receivers Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Mohamed Sanu) should help allow Atlanta to outduel many teams. The health of the defense will need to improve though in order to finish over .500 after early season-ending injuries in 2018 to safeties Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen, as well as linebacker Deion Jones.

2

Baltimore Ravens - Under 8.5 wins

Yes, they did sign safety Earl Thomas, but one player can’t make up for all the talent they lost on that side of the ball this offseason in linebackers C.J. Mosley, Terrell Suggs, and Za’Darius Smith, and safety Eric Weddle. Teams will have a lot more tape on quarterback Lamar Jackson who likely won’t survive the season if he runs with the ball as he much as he did since replacing Joe Flacco last season.

3

Miami Dolphins - Over 4.5 wins

If Miami can find a way to split their four games against the Jets and Bills, that’s just three more wins they need (they also seem to find a way to beat New England every season as well). The team isn’t completely devoid of talent especially in the secondary with Xavien Howard, Reshad Jones, and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

4

San Francisco 49ers - Under 8 wins

Many predicted the 49ers to breakout last season, and they finished 4-12. They have won just 17 games over the last four years. An improved pass-rush (Dee Ford and Nick Bosa) will definitely help, but the health of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo can just not be counted on for any length of time.

5

Tennessee Titans - Under 8 wins

It has been four seasons now of quarterback Marcus Mariota proving he’s nothing but a middling starter at best. The loss of tackle Taylor Lewan, for four games due to suspension will hurt immensely, as running back Derrick Henry loves to run in his direction. The Tennessean takes a look at how Lewan’s loss will hurt the team.
