Moving on to the next team in this series, let’s now take a look at the 10 best draft choices by the Chicago Bulls since 1990.
In order to make the list, the player must have actually been drafted by the team (Lauri Markkanen was acquired in a draft-day deal and was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves). Only impact while with the Bulls is considered (LaMarcus Aldridge was drafted by Chicago but never played for them). This also isn’t exactly a top-10 players drafted by Chicago since 1990 list since where they were selected makes a difference (if a 27th overall pick has nearly as much impact as a fourth overall pick, the 27th pick will be higher). Someone like Wendell Carter Jr. will likely be on the list after a couple more strong seasons.

Derrick Rose - 1st round, 1st overall (2008)
While injuries marred the latter part of his stay in Chicago, Rose was the 2010-11 MVP, the 2007-08 Rookie of the Year, and made three straight All-Star teams in his second through fourth seasons when he combined to average 22.7 points and 7.1 assists. FanSided recently discussed whether the Bulls should retire his jersey number.
Jimmy Butler - 1st round, 30th overall (2011)
An All-Star in each of his last three seasons with the Bulls (2014-15 until 2016-17), Butler averaged at least 20 points in each of his All-Star seasons, and three times was named to the All-Defensive Second Team while with Chicago.
Joakim Noah - 1st round, 9th overall (2007)
The 2013-14 Defensive Player of the Year, Noah averaged double figures in rebounding four times with the Bulls and places third in franchise history with 803 blocks.
Toni Kukoc - 2nd round, 29th overall (1990)
Kukoc's highlights with the Bulls include three NBA championships, winning Sixth Man of the Year for the 1995-96 season, and compiling solid all-around averages of 14.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 436 games with Chicago.
Ben Gordon - 1st round, 3rd overall (2004)
Gordon was named Sixth Man of the Year in his rookie season and averaged over 20 points a contest in two of his five seasons with the Bulls.
Kirk Hinrich - 1st round, 7th overall (2003)
In Bulls franchise history, Hinrich ranks third all-time in games (748), assists (3,811), and steals (857).
Elton Brand - 1st round, 1st overall (1999)
While Brand ended up playing just his first two seasons in the league with Chicago, in both of them he finished with 20/10 averages in points and rebounds.
Taj Gibson - 1st round, 26th overall (2009)
In 562 games (229 starts) for Chicago, Gibson posted averages of 9.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks.
Ron Artest - 1st round, 16th overall (1999)
In about 2.5 seasons with the Bulls, Artest began to shown beginning signs of becoming an elite defender as he averaged two steals an outing with the team.
Bobby Portis - 1st round, 22nd overall (2015)
Portis stayed with the Bulls until he was traded to the Washington Wizards in February of this year, and he averaged 9.7 points and 5.8 rebounds while with Chicago mostly coming off the bench.
