After looking at the best recent draft picks for 26 teams, it's now time to look at the Rams who have the 31st pick in this month's draft. Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports has them selecting center Elgton Jenkins out of Mississippi State with that pick.

The Rams did not reach the playoffs for over a decade spanning the 2005-2016 seasons, but they have reached the postseason each of the last two years (reached the Super Bowl last season). It's no surprise that four players on this list were on that NFC Championship team from last season.

Note: Only time with the Rams is considered for this list. Where they were drafted makes a difference - meaning this isn't exactly a "top-ten players drafted by the Rams since 2000" list. Some late-round draft picks that didn't quite make the list but had solid careers with the team include Brian Young (fifth round, 2000), Jerametrius Butler (fifth round, 2001), and Tyler Higbee (fourth round, 2016).

1

Aaron Donald, DT - 1st round, 13th overall (2014); time with Rams: 2014-present

Named Defensive Player of the Year each of the last two seasons, Donald led the NFL with 20.5 sacks and 25 tackles for loss last year. Through five years, he has already tallied 59.5 sacks and 13 forced fumbles. According to Rams Wire of USA Today, he is likely to sit out the preseason but will take part in training camp.

2

Todd Gurley, RB - 1st round, 10th overall (2015); time with Rams: 2015-present

Gurley, the 2017 Offensive Player of the Year, has already scored 56 touchdowns (rushing and receiving) in four years. He has rushed for 4,547 yards while adding an additional 1,883 yards receiving.

3

Steven Jackson, RB - 1st round, 24th overall (2004); time with Rams: 2004-2012

In the eight seasons from 2005-2012, Jackson ran for over 1,000 yards in every one. Altogether with the Rams, he had 10,138 yards and 56 touchdowns on the ground.

4

Robert Quinn, DE - 1st round, 14th overall (2011); time with Rams: 2011-2017

From 2012-2014, Quinn recorded 40 sacks including an incredible 19 in 2013. That season, he was named a First Team All-Pro in a year in which he also forced seven fumbles.

5

Jared Goff, QB - 1st round, 1st overall (2016); time with Rams: 2016-present

After struggling mightily as a rookie, Goff is 24-7 in the last two years as the starting quarterback. In that time, he has completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 8,492 yards and 60 touchdowns (just 19 interceptions).

6

James Laurinaitis, LB - 2nd round, 35th overall (2009); time with Rams: 2009-2015

In his seven years with the Rams, Laurinaitis did not miss a single game and started every one of them. He had 16.5 sacks with the team and at least 109 tackles each year.

7

Greg Zuerlein, K - 6th round, 171st overall (2012); time with Rams: 2012-present

A First Team All-Pro in 2017, Zuerlein has developed into one of the league's premier kickers. He has nailed 83.5 percent of his career field goal tries, a number that is at 90.3 percent over the last three seasons.

8

Chris Long, DE - 1st round, 2nd overall (2008); time with Rams: 2008-2015

While he may not have been as productive as the Rams expected when taking him second overall, that doesn't mean Long wasn't a useful player. He finished with 54.5 sacks in eight years with the Rams with 24.5 of those sacks coming from 2011-2012.

9

O.J. Atogwe, S - 3rd round, 66th overall (2005); time with Rams: 2005-2010

In his six years with the team, Atogwe had four seasons with at least three interceptions. He picked off 22 passes with the Rams including a career-high of eight in 2007.

10

Trumaine Johnson, CB - 3rd round, 65th overall (2012); time with Rams: 2012-2017

Johnson had 18 interceptions in six seasons with the Rams while starting 62 games. He intercepted a career-high sevenn passes in 2015.
