Baseball is finally back! While the Seattle Mariners and Oakland A's got things started last week in Japan, MLB's Opening Day officially arrived on Thursday (Mar. 28). Here's a look at five of the top player performances from the first full day of Major League Baseball.
Joc Pederson - LA Dodgers
It was a homerun parade on Opening Day for the World Series runner-up team. The LA Dodgers recorded eight of them in a 12-5 win over the Diamondbacks. Joc Pederson came up with two home runs and a double in a 3-for-5 performance to lead the way.

Javier Baez - Chicago Cubs

Jose Berrios - Minnesota Twins
It wasn't just about the batters on Opening Day, as some strong pitching performances also took the spotlight. One of them belonged to the Minnesota Twins' Jose Berrios. He went 7.2 innings and recorded a whopping 10 strikeouts in his team's 2-0 shutout win against the Indians.

Robinson Cano - New York Mets
There's a lot of new faces in different places this MLB season. While Bryce Harper and Manny Machado made big headlines, both were also hitless in their debuts. Robinson Cano was not. He came up with a home run in his first at bat, and then an RBI single later on. The Mets picked up a 2-0 win thanks to Cano's performance.

Domingo Santana - Seattle Mariners
The Mariners are off to a great start for their season with a 3-0 record. Their third win of the season came on Opening Day thanks to multiple players including Domingo Santana. He went 3-for-5 with four RBIs in the win.
