With many fantasy football championships taking place in Week 16, it can help to find a "diamond in the rough" to help guide teams to winning their leagues. The same goes for Week 15 when most semifinals took place.
Below are Week 15 fantasy stars who were likely unowned. In order to be eligible for the list, the player must have been owned in fewer than 25 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues entering their games. Fantasy stats were taken from ESPN.com.
Quarterback - Sam Darnold, Jets
It was the first time, in Darnold's 11 starts, during his rookie season, that he threw multiple touchdown passes without an interception. His 253 passing yards in Week 15 are the third-most he has thrown for in a game, while his 35 rushing yards accumulated are a season-high. Sports Illustrated lists Darnold as a streaming option for Week 16.
Running back - Jamaal Williams, Packers
Aaron Jones was forced to leave in Week 15 with a sprained MCL, allowing Williams to take his spot. With Jones becoming Green Bay's bell cow, Williams had just 43 rushing and 14 receiving yards in his last five games entering Week 15. He beat both totals on Sunday, finishing with 55 rushing and 42 receiving yards, while scoring on a 10-yard run in the third quarter.
