Facebook's Cambridge Analytica admits personal information was compromised

Cambridge Analytica accessed data from Facebook users during the 2016 election cycle, without permission from users. However, people did not find out until March 2018. The data breach gathered information about users identities, networks and likes, in hopes of identifying their voting patterns. CEO Mark Zuckerberg testified before Congress in April 2018 and said, "It was my mistake, and I'm sorry."
