A wart is a small, hard, and rough growth that is similar in color to the skin. The infection is usually caused by a virus (human papillomavirus) and is transmittable from one individual to another. The most common types are filiform Warts, genital warts, and plantar warts. Without proper treatment and skin care products, most types of a wart resolve in a few days. Filiform warts, however, need to be cured as early as possible because the disease can lead to cancer and AIDS. Warts are more common in women (from 20 to 40 years) than in men. An HPV vaccine, named as Gardasil 6, is often recommended for genital warts and cervical cancer.
Doctors usually recommend duct tape occlusion therapies, but the following home remedies will also help.
Garlic
If you are suffering from a severe skin problem, make garlic a part of your daily diet. It has excellent antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antioxidant properties that fight viral and bacterial infections. Crush a few garlic cloves, and apply on the Infected Skin area. Cover it with a soft towel, and leave for fifteen to thirty minutes. Then rinse it off with cold water, and repeat the process thrice per day for noticeable results.
Baking soda
Baking Soda has excellent anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It helps combat bacteria and viruses that cause a wart. Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with a few drops of apple cider vinegar or almond oil to form a paste.
Apply it on the infected skin area daily (once in the morning and once before going to bed). Alternatively, you can mix one tablespoon of baking soda and two teaspoons of castor oil to make a thick paste. Apply it to warts, and cover the area with a soft towel for a few minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water, and repeat the process thrice per day.
Bananas
Banana peel has strong antibacterial and antiviral properties. It is also an antioxidant and helps treat obesity, warts, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Cut two pieces of banana peel, and massage on the infected skin area. Allow it to dry, and rinse off with cold water after two to three hours. Alternatively, you can mix honey and finely crushed bananas to make a thick paste.
Apply it on the face, arms, and neck, and rinse off after an hour. Depending on the type and size of a wart, you can repeat the remedy for a few days. Fresh basil leaves are also good for the skin.
With these homemade remedies, it is very easy to cure the warts.
