Ryan Reynolds and Samuel Jackson are gearing up to promote “The Hitman’s Bodyguard.” The actors shared several new stills on the official Instagram and Twitter accounts last night. The title brings to mind “The Bodyguard” starring whitney houston and Kevin Costner. The team behind this project decided to take one step further with spoof posters of the romantic thriller.

In one of the posters, Ryan is holding Samuel in his arms the same way that Kevin Costner held Whitney Houston on the poster for 1992 movie “The Bodyguard.”

Salma Hayek on the big screen

Hayek is a naturalized United States citizen.

She is returning to the big screen after a long time. Her recent projects include “Grown Ups,” “Puss in Boots,” “Grown Ups 2,” and “Tale of Tales.” On March 9, 2007, she confirmed her engagement to François-Henri Pinault. She gave birth to a daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The actress started paying more attention to her family, which is why could not continue working in Hollywood. With “The Hitman's Bodyguard,” Hayek makes a comeback to the big screen and fans have high expectations.

The funny artwork and teaser trailers being shared

The funny artwork has also been shared on the film’s official social media page. It glimpses at the main characters of the project.

The Hitman's Bodyguard” is a story of a guard (Reynolds) who is asked to save an assassin, Jackson. Other than Reynolds and Jackson, the film stars Elodie Yung, Salma Hayek, Joaquim De Almeida, Richard E Grant, and Kirsty Mitchell. It is scheduled to be released on August 18, 2017.

Several teaser trailers for the movie were released on April 12, consisting of a large amount of profanity with Jackson making fun of everyone.

Two of the trailers give glimpses of the characters of Reynolds, Jackson, Yung, Hayek and Almeida. “The Hitman's Bodyguard” is one of the most anticipated Hollywood films. It is scripted by Tom Connor and co-produced by David Ellison. Principal photography on the movie began in April 2016, in Amsterdam and London.

Born in 1976, Ryan gained quick recognition for portraying Michael Bergen on the ABC sitcom “Two Guys and a Girl.” His other works include “Hillside,” “Blade: Trinity,” “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” and “Deadpool.” The actor has received dozens of awards including two Golden Globe Award nominations.

He says that he will soon upload several new posters on the official Instagram. He recently wrote for The Huffington Post regarding his plans for “The Hitman's Bodyguard.” The actor states that he worked hard on the project and looks forward to fans’ response.
