Reality Winner, the 25-year-old female NSA contractor who was arrested for passing Top Secret Information to a news site, peppered her Facebook page and Twitter feed with alarming statements, particularly in regards to her hostility to the president of the United States. Winner’s social media material raises questions about why she was given a Security Clearance, to begin with. The FBI took just a few hours to discover that Winner was the source of the leak and to put her in handcuffs.

Winner really did not like President Trump

The young NSA contractor had been mainly triggered by the election of Donald Trump.

Some of the more printable insults she heaped on the president included, “orange fascist.” She also excoriated Trump’s selection of Jeff Sessions as Attorney General, who she referred to as a “Confederate general.” Winner even went on about Trump’s “tiny hands.”

Far left supporter of Bernie Sanders who thought being white is ‘terrorism’

Winner was a supporter of Bernie Sanders and other far left causes. She also sent a strange tweet to Kayne West which read, “@kanyewest you should make a shirt that says, ‘being white is terrorism’" Winner is herself white. More alarmingly, she sent a tweet to the Iranian foreign minister that said, “There are many Americans protesting US govt aggression towards Iran.

If our Tangerine in Chief declares war, we stand with you!”

How did Winner get a security clearance?

Winner was apparently hired for her job as an NSA contractor based on her work as an Air Force translator. However, one would think that anyone who is given a security clearance would prefer the United States in any conflict with a foreign power.

Winner, openly for anyone to see, declared her allegiance to the Islamic Republic of Iran, a country known to be building a nuclear arsenal, despite international agreements, to attack Israel, Europe, her Arab neighbors, and ultimately the United States. It would seem to be common sense that no one like that should be granted access to top secret information.

The leaker was caught with ease

Winner, as it turned out, did very little to cover her tracks. She printed out the top secret documents in question and mailed them to the news site which dutifully published them. However, printers used at her office include indications of which ones are used when printing a document. The FBI, upon taking possession of the document, was easily able to narrow down the list of suspects. When interviewed at home, Winner readily admitted that she was the one who leaked the document. She is being charged with leaking classified documents for which she faced 10 years in jail.
