Less than two weeks away from Selection Sunday, college basketball fans around the country are gearing up for March Madness. While everyone awaits the 68 teams that will occupy this year’s brackets, it’s worth taking a look at the official 2018 Ncaa Tournament schedule, sites, projections, and of course, betting odds. As far as the 2018 NCAA Tournament schedule is concerned, all dates and venues are available.
March Madness 2018 schedule: First Four sites and opening rounds
Everything gets underway March 13/14 at University of Daytona’s UD Arena in Dayton with the First Four.
That action will be followed by the opening two rounds of the tourney, which are scheduled to take place in various venues around the country, and they will go as follows:
March 15/17 - PPG Paints Arena at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
March 15/17 - INTRUST Bank Arena at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.
March 15/17 - American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
March 15/17 - Taco Bell Arena at Boise State University in Boise, Ind.
March 16/18 - Spectrum Center at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C.
March 16/18 - Little Caesars Arena in University of Detroit (Mercy) in Detroit, Mich.
March 16/18 - Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
March 16/18 - Viejas Arena at San Diego State University in San Diego, Calif.
NCAA Tournament 2018 schedule: Regional Rounds and Final Four brackets
Moving right along, Regional action gets underway with the South and West Regions, slated on March 22 and 24. South Regional action will take place at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga., while the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., will be the host of all West Regional games.
The remaining two regions will settle their scores on March 23 and 25 with the East Region playing at the TD Garden in Boston, Mass., and the Midwest bracket at CenturyLink Center Omaha in Omaha, Neb.
Action will resume six days later with the Final Four form the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. And finally, everything culminates with the 2018 NCAA Men’s National Championship Game on April 2.
2018 March Madness projections and betting odds
As far as which teams will go in as the betting favorites to conquer March Madness, this year appears to be a four-horse race. According to college basketball betting odds, Michigan State, Virginia, Villanova and Duke are the outright front-runners.
Leading the pack in a two-way tie in this category are the Michigan State Spartans (+550) and the Virginia Cavaliers (+550), followed by the Villanova Wildcats (+600) and rounding out the top four is, of course, the Duke Blue Devils (+700).
