NBA.com has reported that the Houston Rockets defeated the New York Knicks 117-95 at Madison Square Garden last night. James Harden put on a masterful performance that helped lead the Rockets to a 22-point victory over the Knicks. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 21 points and hit four three-pointers for the Knicks, but it was not enough to overcome the Rockets.

With Kristaps Porzingis not playing last night, The New York Knicks needed someone to step up on the defensive end. That was what Tim Hardaway Jr., as he contributed 21 points, three rebounds, one assist, and three steals.

He made eight of his 17 field goal attempts and made four of his 10 three-point shots. Going into the season, Hardaway Jr. could see a lot playing time to work with as the Knicks rebuild and slowly groom Kristaps Porzingis into a franchise player.

Dotson and Beasley score 17

Along with Tim Hardaway's 21 points, Damyean Dotson and Michael Beasley both scored 17 points against the Houston Rockets. Damyean Dotson contributed 17 points, two rebounds, and two assists. He also shot 70 percent from the field while making three of his five three-point attempts. Michael Beasley also showed up in last night's game, contributing four rebounds, two assists, and three steals to go along with this 17 points.

He made seven of his eleven field goal attempts and made three of his four free throw shots. All three players could see heavy minutes during the 2017-18 NBA season.

Harden scores 36 points

James Harden played an amazing game last night against the New York Knicks. He contributed 36 points, nine rebounds, 11 assists, and two steals.

Harden shot 61.9 percent from the field making 13 of his 21 field goal attempts and making seven of his 14 three-point shot attempts. James Harden and the Houston Rockets are set to have a great season especially with the addition of Chris Paul in their line up. James Harden could benefit a lot from having Chris Paul on the roster, especially since it means Paul can help distribute the ball and play better defense.

Clint Capela grabs nine rebounds

Clint Capela also had a solid game for the Houston Rockets. He scored 19 points to go along with nine rebounds and one steal. He shot 61.9 percent from the field making 13 of his 21 shots along with making five of his nine free throw shots.

The New York Knicks got destroyed last night as the Rockets are slowly preparing themselves for the upcoming NBA season.
