There were few matches that could have gone anywhere but top teams managed to win their marches as league leaders Manchester City were mounting pressure on other teams with five points lead on the top.

Manchester United are just behind the league leaders with five points less and went in the tenth round to grab only a win.

Defending champions, Chelsea, were also in a huge pressure as they've lost three games already this season and stand fourth with 19 points. Top Premier League sides have played their games on Saturday, so here are four things to be discussed.

Manchester United can defeat title contenders

The tenth round started with a big match between Man United and Tottenham Hotspur. Both teams had same points, 20, before this round. The teams came face-to-face for winning the game to keep their title hopes alive.

Manchester United hosted Tottenham and performed well in opening minutes. Tottenham were playing without their main striker, Harry Kane, but United were also missing their key players. Neither side could break the deadlock in the first half.

United boss, Jose Mourinho subbed Marcus Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial in the second-half as United couldn't score a goal. On the 81st minute, Super-sub Anthony Martial scored for United and gave his team a 1-0 lead over Spurs.

This one goal was enough for Man United to snatch three crucial points. United are up against defending champions, Chelsea in the 11th round of matches. Again, It'll be important for Man United to win as their local rivals, Man City, have defeated the Blues.

League leader remains on the top with yet another win

Manchester City broke a Premier League record after they registered a win over West Bromwich Albion.

Manchester City now have the record of the best start in the Premier League. They are the only team to win all the first ten games. They only dropped two points with a draw against Everton.

In the tenth round, They visited The Hawthorns stadium to play against West Brom. Both teams performed as planned in the first-half, but a defensive error by West Brom gave City a chance to take the lead before the first-half.

The first-half ended with a 1-2 goal score and a lead to league leaders.

In the second-half, Man City dominated the most part and score the third goal in the 64th minute. This time, an error by Man City defender, Nicolas Otamendi, made City to give up another goal in the closing minutes. The game ended with a 2-3 win for league leaders. Man City has 28 points after the game and are five points clear off the trailing team, Manchester United.

Arsenal are still lacking coordination among defenders

Arsenal hosted a struggling side, Swansea City, in the tenth round. Arsenal won the game however their defenders struggled against Swansea attack. They have conceded 13 goals and lost three games this season already.

In the first half of the game, Arsenal dominated the game with a possessive play. Â Nevertheless, Swansea scored the first goal of the game and the first-half ended with a 0-1 score. In the second-half, Arsenal came up with some different tactics and it worked pretty well as they scored two goals within ten minutes.

Kolasinac and Ramsey's goal gave Arsenal a one-goal lead over the Swans. The game ended with a 2-1 win for Arsenal. They are now fifth on the points table with 19 points.

Arsene Wenger has to sort out his team's defensive problems or they could face the consequences against the top Premier League teams.

Chelsea survive against Bournemouth

Bournemouth hosted defending champions to take advantage of their poor form.

Chelsea are nowhere near the first spot this season so far. They won their last game somehow with the help of Batshuayi and Azpilicueta's last minute goals.

Bournemouth somehow managed to keep Chelsea's attack at bay in the first-half. The Blues scored the first goal of the game in the 51st minute. Chelsea defended their one-goal lead in the remaining time and won the game with a 0-1 score. Even though they won the game, they didn't perform like defending champions.

Last season Chelsea weren't in the UEFA League but this year they are have been playing in the UEFA Champions League. Lack of depth in squad hurting the manager in the Premier League as they've dropped 11 points this season already.
