A Davante Adams injury update has come in from the Green Bay Packers. A report by NBC Sports states that Adams has been released from the hospital after he spent the night getting treatment. The Packers have also released an Adams injury update, revealing that the star receiver has been diagnosed with a concussion. There is no timetable for his return, but he is now at home recuperating.

On Thursday night (Sept. 28), the Green Bay Packers were taking on the Chicago Bears in a Week 4 contest. During the game, Davante Adams caught a pass in the middle of the field but took a vicious hit from Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan in the secondary.

As Adams was lowering his head, Trevathan connected him with a helmet-to-helmet shot that knocked out the receiver.

What will happen after the hit on Adams?

Trevathan is likely to face repercussions from the NFL due to this hit on Adams. Many analysts said that it would have been difficult for Trevathan to stop his momentum as he was going for the tackle, but they also expect that he could get suspended for this hit. While the Bears’ linebacker did not get ejected from the game, he could face a fine and/or a suspension from the NFL for instigating the helmet-to-helmet contact. The situation was made much worse based on Adams losing consciousness on the field.

There are going to be several Davante Adams injury updates over the next week, as the Green Bay Packers will want their receiver back on the field for a Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

In order for Adams to play, he will have to clear the concussion protocol, which makes it very difficult to predict whether or not he is going to be available to play again in 10 days. The Packers coaching staff and Adams’ doctors will have to keep an eye on the situation.

What else do the Packers have to deal with this week?

Davante Adams wasn’t the only member of the Green Bay Packers to get hurt against the Chicago Bears. Starting running back Ty Montgomery suffered broken ribs on a hit he took near the sidelines. Montgomery still leads the NFL in snaps played by running backs, but his injury took place on the first series of the game.

Montgomery had to leave the field for tests and his availability for the Cowboys’ game is also questionable.

After scoring just 17 points against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1, there were some questions about the offense of the Green Bay Packers. Those questions are going to surface again if the team has to play against the Dallas Cowboys without Davante Adams and Ty Montgomery in Week 5.
