Stambouli set to leave Schalke
The 26-year-old French midfielder, who made a total of thirty-eight appearances in all competitions last term, has been deemed “surplus to requirement” by new Schalke head coach Domenico Tedesco and is set to depart the Bundesliga club TalkSport said.
Benjamin Stambouli spent 2014-2015 season with Tottenham Hotspur before joining French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain for a transfer fee of €6.8m.
Schalke 04 are apparently hopeful of “recouping” around €9m for the 26-year-old midfielder, who they signed from Paris Saint-Germain last season. The French midfielder is expected to return to France next season in an attempt to “rebuild” his career, following a disappointing move to Schalke 04 last summer.
Lorenzo Insigne's agent declines a move to Stamford Bridge
Chelsea Football Club is speculated to have put in a formal offer of about €51m for the Napoli talisman, as Blues manager Antonio Conte sets about “reshuffling” his roster ahead of the new EPL campaign.
However, it seems the Italy international forward will remain in Napoli for the meantime after the player's agent poured cold water on a possible move to Chelsea.
Napoli, Watford leads chase for Neto
The 27-year-old goalkeeper joined Italian Serie A giants Juventus in the summer of 2015 but has not been able to dislodge Italy international Gianluigi Buffon as Juve's first-choice goalkeeper, and it seems he could leave the Turin club this summer.
Juventus FC is close to agreeing in principle a deal for Arsenal backup goalie Wojciech Szczesny, which would almost “certainly” force Roberto Neto out of the club. However, despite not being a regular with Juventus, the Brazilian goalkeeper is attracting attentions from Italian Serie A side Napoli, and Watford Football Club.
Juventus are holding out for at least €9m for their second choice goalkeeper, who has a running contract with the Turin giants until the summer of 2019.
