France international Antoine Griezmann has agreed on a contract extension with his current club Atletico Madrid. The French forward has finally committed himself to the club until the summer of 2022. Elsewhere, Aston Villa is prepared to go toe to toe with AFC Bournemouth in the battle to sign former England and Chelsea captain John Terry this summer. Here's a complete report of the latest Transfer updates:

Griezmann commits future with Atletico Madrid

Antoine Griezmann, who had been massively linked with a move to English giant Manchester United, committed his “immediate” future to Atletico Madrid last week in the wake of the club's transfer ban being upheld by the Court Of Arbitration for Sports.

The Frenchman said “leaving Atletico Madrid would be a dirty move.” Apparently, the France international forward now appears to have stood firm on his words by agreeing to extend his contract with the Madrid-based club. It was understood that the buy-out clause in the 26-year old France forward contract has been increased to about €120million.

Atletico Madrid is banned from signing any new players for the club in the summer transfer market after the Court of Arbitration for Sports (C.A.S) upheld a transfer suspension sanctioned by FIFA for multiple “breaches” of international soccer's rules on the transfers of players under the age of 18.

John Terry still skeptical about his future?

Aston Villa has apparently indicated an interest in signing former England international John Terry, according to Sky Sports.

John Terry and Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce were pictured together playing golf last week at the Quinta do Lago resort in Portugal. Aston Villa has now been “installed” as a second favorite to sign the fullback, although AFC Bournemouth is still considered favorites to sign Terry, the Championship side is reportedly ready to add his “experience” to their back line.

Aston Villa CEO Keith Wyness and Steve Bruce are believed to have negotiated the possibility of signing the 36-year-old defender. It is understood the former Chelsea and England captain is being lured by the offer at Aston Villa and is willing to help the Midlands club out of the second-tier by gaining promotion back to the English top flight.

The Englishman have also been linked with a move to mega-rich Chinese Super League and the Major League Soccer. John Terry “claimed” after his final match with Chelsea that he hopes to continue playing soccer after a summer vacation. Aston Villa was relegated from the English top-flight league in 2016 and apparently struggled much to a mid-table finish in the English Championship last season.
