Matic set to join Manchester United

Nemanja Matic is keen on a possible reunion with Manchester United boss José Mourinho and Chelsea are surprisingly willing to let the 28-year-old midfielder make the move to Old Trafford this summer.

The Red Devils have been in close negotiations with the Blues over the midfielder and it is understood that a deal worth around $51m is close to being finalized, according to the Guardian. The 28-year-old midfielder was an integral part of Chelsea last term, playing thirty-five times in the EPL as they clinch the title. But the Blues are close to landing another holding midfielder: Tiemoue Bakayoko from French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco and Conte is happy for the Serbia international to go.

Manchester United boss José Mourinho is a huge fan of Nemanja Matic, having signed the Serbian for Chelsea FC in a $26m deal when he was Chelsea manager in 2014. Mourinho views the 28-year-old midfielder an ideal midfield successor to Michael Carrick and the type of midfielder who can bring out the best of world-record signing Paul Labile Pogba, who they signed last summer.

The Serbia international becomes the second major signing made by José Mourinho this summer, following the $38m arrival of Lisbon Benfica centre-back Victor Lindelof.

Berchiche wanted by PSGPSG and Barcelona

Much has changed for Yuri Berchiche, who apparently failed to make a single start for Tottenham Hotspur during his two-year spell at White Hart Lane.

Back then the defender was farmed out on loan to English League One side Cheltenham Town FC, making only seven appearances. But now Yuri Berchiche is one of the most sought after defender In Europe with Catalan giants Barcelona reportedly linked with the Spaniard earlier this year. According to Keol Sport, Barcelona have been joined by Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign the defender.

New Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery is a big fan of Berchiche, who made thirty-five league appearances for Real Sociedad last season.

And PSG manager sees the 27-year-old defender as the perfect long-term replacement for Maxwell, though he's hoping to buy the defender for less than his $33.8million release-clause.
