The Boston Celtics defeat the Chicago Bulls for a fourth straight time to close out the series. The Celtics blew out the Bulls on the road, as they grabbed a 105-83 victory. Boston turned a 0-2 deficit in the series into the 4-2 win, as they proceed into the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Washington Wizards beat the Atlanta Hawks 115-99 at the Philips Arena to win the series 4-2. The Wizards controlled the game from the beginning and managed to grab the victory on the road to close out the series over the Hawks.
A blowout victory for the Celtics
It was a one-way game in Chicago on Friday night, as the Celtics led by as much as 29 points at the end of the third quarter. They won by 22 points, as they hit 16 three-pointers in the game. Avery Bradley scored 23 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished three assists while shooting 9 of 12 from the field in 30 minutes on the floor. Gerald Green added 16 points for the Celtics, while Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford, and Jae Crowder added 12 points each.
Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 23 points and seven rebounds while shooting 9 of 17 from the field and 5 of 5 from the free-throw line, but he didn't get any support from his teammates. Dwyane Wade had an awful night with just two points in 19 minutes, as he missed nine of his ten field goal attempts.
Robin Lopez was the only other player for the home team to score in double-digits, as he added ten points to his score sheet.
John Wall with another monstrous game
John Wall continues to dominate in the postseason, as he almost single-handedly finished this series over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. Wall finished the game with 42 points and eight assists while shooting 16 of 25 from the field and 9 of 10 from the Free Throw Line.
He also had four steals and two blocks in the game.
Bradley Beal added 31 points while shooting 11 of 17 from the field, 2 of 3 from downtown and 7 of 8 from the free throw line. Wall and Beal have been amazing this entire series, and that was the case in game six. They combined for 73 of Wizards 115 points in this game.
Paul Millsap led the Hawks with 31 points, ten rebounds and seven assists in 46 minutes on the floor, while Dennis Schroeder also added a double-double with 26 points and ten assists for the home team.
The Washington Wizards and the Boston Celtics will meet in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The first game is on the schedule for Sunday, at 1:00 pm, as the series, will begin in Boston.
