Two of the biggest stars in MLS will meet on Saturday as Ignacio Piatti and the Impacts heads to New York City to face-off against David Villa and NYFC. Ignacio Piatti is coming off a scintillating performance in a 2-2 draw with Seattle Sounders last weekend, notching a goal and setting up an assist, while David Villa also delivered with a brace and an assist in NYCFC's 4-0 win over DC United. Montreal Impact have begun their 2017 campaign with a middling performance against San Jose Earthquakes and losing a late lead against Seattle Sounders. NYCFC have looked stellar in both matches, despite a loss against Orlando City SC in week 1, with Alexander Ring and Maxi Moralez providing to be quality inclusions in the midfield.

New York City FC

The Yankees are shaping up to be one of the most dangerous home clubs in the Major League Soccer this season with David Villa, Jack Harrison, Rodney Wallace and Maxi Moralez all capable of putting defenders on their heels. So far, New York City Fc defense has also been much stronger this year led by Maxime Chanot and new goalie Sean Johnson. Patrick Vieira's tutored side has to be more cautious with the possession it has, as Montreal Impact are extremely perilous on the offense counter.

The Yankees have won eight of their last nine Major League Soccer games at home with an average of 3.1 goals per match across-this-run. NYCFC have scored four goals in three straight Major League Soccer regular season home games.

Montreal Impact

This match could set-up well for Biello's team, with New York City FC always wanting to hold the ball by all means and the Impact wanting to launch counter-attack on the break. Ignacio Piatti is coming off a game in which he displayed exactly what he's capable of doing in positions of transition and will look to be the man to finally test a New York City FC back-line that was trembly last season. Piatti has scored three of the-last-five Impact goals against New York City FC. So far, Ignacio Piatti leads the Major League Soccer with nine completed dribbles this season.
