Real Madrid started their European campaign strongbeatingShakhtar Donetsk 4-0 in Group A of the Champions League. This game showed Real’s expectations to win their 11th European cup. Real new coach, Rafael Benitez started his journey to win Champions League Cup, the trophy that Los Blancos care about most. Cristiano Ronaldo played the main role in Madrid victory as he scored three goals for his team.
But it was French international striker, Karim Benzema who opened the score after disaster error from Shakhtar goalkeeper, who gifted Real Madrid with their first goal of the new 2015-16 Champions League season.
One of the best player in Soccer history, Cristiano Ronaldo added his goal after scoring from the penalty spot. Few minutes later Ronaldo got another goal, as he rebounded the ball after Marcelo’s shot. He soon netted another goal after taking a full advantage of Shakhtar weak defence and many errors in their own penalty box.
After scoring another hat-trick Cristiano Ronaldo moved ahead of his biggest rival, Lionel Messi to become the Champions League’s all-time leading goalscorer with 80 goals in the tournament and it’s a great achievement for 31-years old forward. It was an easy win for Real Madrid, but their coach expected Shakhtar Donetsk to be a much tough opponent for his team as the Ukrainian side played in the previous editions of the UEFA Champions League Cup.
But they failed to deliver this time.
Real Madrid’s coach Rafael Benitez has said that he is very happy with not having conceded a goal and scored four. He also added that Cristiano Ronaldo in his opinion is the best player to ever play in soccer and he know his level and value. He won’t change his mind and he will repeat it every time.
He also took his time to say few words about Toni Kross, who has completed 95 percent of passing what is normal day in the office for the miedfielder. He also created many chances for his teammates and helped them to dominate in the middle of the pitch.
In the next game, Real Madrid will face Paris Saint-Germain while Shaktar Donetsk will try to get a win agains Swedish side, Malmoe.
