The 2017 Emmy awards was a showcase of the best television shows in categories of drama, comedy and reality-based genre. It was also a night of fashion as celebrities showed off their glamorous looks on the red carpet.
Winning five categories during the awarding event was “The Handmaid’s Tale.” The popular TV series won in the categories such as Best Drama Series, Best Writing and Best Directing for a Drama Series.
“Big Little Lies” came in second as it bagged the awards including Best Limited Series and Best Directing for the Limited Series, Movie, and Drama.
“Saturday Night Live” bested the other nominees in the Best Comedy category.
Award winners on the red carpet
Vogue was on the scene to cover the red carpet events and see the styles of the celebrities who won the awards that night. Nicole Kidman who bagged the Best Actress Award for “Big Little Lies” wore a Calvin Klein deep red dress with a sexy neckline. The dress had a wide cut for the skirt.
Winner of the Best Drama Actress category Elisabeth Moss arrived on the red carpet with a dress designed by Asian fashion designer Prabal Gurung. Moss wore a strapless cocktail dress, paired with diamond accessories from Forevermark.
Meanwhile, “Saturday Night Live” actress and impersonator Kate McKinnon attended the event in a gown designed by Narciso Rodriguez.
It was a spaghetti strap dress with black top and white long skirt, Vogue reported.
McKinnon’s co-actor in “Saturday Night Live” Alec Baldwin chose to stay formal in coat and bowtie from Ermenegildo Zegna. Baldwin portrayed President Donald Trump in a satirical series that aired last year on “Saturday Night Live.”

There were hundreds of TV personalities who attended the 2017 Emmy Awards.
Michelle Pfeiffer wore a black dress with a floral lace top designed by Oscar de la Renta.
Singer and actress Mandy Moore was also among the best-dressed personalities in the event. She wore a luxurious Carolina Herrera gown from its 2018 Resort collection. It had a stylish tulle skirt and black-and-white color scheme, Vogue noted.
Moreover, 13-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown stunned in a Calvin Klein tulle and strapless gown. She had her hair in a high bun while sporting a tea-length skirt. Brown was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Drama category.
Male teenage actor Caleb McLaughlin also showcased his impeccable style by wearing a floral tuxedo made of silk material. The actor has been known for his stylish looks in various awarding events.
