Great news for those who haven't tried their hand at "Battlefield 1," as the game will be part of the Xbox Free Play Days promo that lets players play for free. Launching on Friday, September 22, the free weekend will be open to Xbox Live Gold members and will let players access the single-player campaign and base multiplayer maps. The event will run through Sunday, September 24, during which the "Battlefield 1 Revolution Edition," which includes the base game, all previously released content, and all future content, will come with a 40% off discount.

According to VG247, players will have to download the entire game and can save their achievements and continue their progress if they choose to purchase the game.

DLCs currently on sale

Aside from the free weekend happening September 22-25, "Battlefield 1" players can also look forward to getting the 40% discount on the "Battlefield 1" Revolution Edition, which includes the Premium Pass, and four DLCs, namely "They Shall Not Pass," "In the Name of the Tsar," "Apocalypse," and "Turning Tides." According to Eurogamer, the discounts are available for a limited time beginning September 19 to 25 and are part of the Battlefest Revolution community celebration. Note that these sale items are not limited to Xbox One players only, but for players on PlayStation 4 as well.

Lupkow Pass Update released in August

The last update received by "Battlefield 1" was the Lupkow Pass Update, which included the first map for the "In the Name of the Tsar" DLC. The map was set in the Carpathian mountains in Russia and is a vertical-themed map, Gamespot reported. The new map has been made playable for those with the Premium Pass and the "In the Name of the Tsar" DLC.

The recent update also featured several gameplay changes, fixes on maps and modes, spectator, weapons, vehicles, and more.

Battlefest launching September 19

EA DICE took to the official "Battlefield 1" website to shed light on the Battlefest Revolution festivities. From September 19 to 30, players will be able to participate in several activities, including the "In the Name of the Tsar" free trial.

There's also a contest in which players can share videos of their "most intense" moments playing "In the Name of the Tsar."
