I graduated from San Jose State University in journalism and U.S. history and worked for 37 years at the San Jose Mercury News working my way up from copyboy (as we were called then) to editor of two weekly sections. I've written for the Mercury News and Examiner.com, among others. I love the Beatles and all '60s music in general,. I love music period. And old TV. And old movies.
