Richard Battin


Richard has a journalism degree from San Jose State University and masters in history. He was a reporter and editor at the San Jose News and night city editor for the San Diego Union before moving to Chicago, managing a group of twice-a-week papers on the north side. He later moved to Fort Wayne Indiana as metro editor, assistant managing editor and managing editor for 14 years before returning to Chicago as internet department manager at the Daily Herald, a suburban daily. He was national homicide examiner for and taught new media to gradudate students at Northwestern University.
