Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV will release later this year on PS4 and Xbox One, but Sony’s PS4 will have an exclusive limited edition bundle. Set to be officially announced later this week, we have learned that Sony and Square Enix have partnered to offer an exclusive limited edition Final Fantasy XV PS4 that will have a 1TB hard drive, and that the bundle will come with a Deluxe copy of the game.

Specifics about PS4 Bundle

Though we don’t have any exact pricing details on what the Limited Edition PS4 FFXV bundle will cost, one must consider that the Deluxe version of the game will retail for $89.99 and contains the following contents: exclusive steelbook, a copy of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy Movie on BluRay, a copy of the game, extra bonus content, a Royal Raiment outfit for in-game use, a Masasume weapon, and a Platinum Leviathan.

Certain specifics regarding the bundle remain elusive, however. Aside from the 1TB HDD, particulars regarding the hardware elude us. We are not sure whether the bundle will contain a newly announced PS4 Pro, if it’ll be on the newly revised Slim PS4, or the currently standard PlayStation 4. Previous limited edition bundles have been offered as the standard PS4 – see the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 bundle as an example.

If you love collecting, this is the system for you

If you do not yet have a PS4 and have interest in FFXV, or perhaps you are a hardcore fan of the franchise and a collector of limited-edition consoles, then you’ll want to pay close attention to this bundle as it will likely go quickly.

Previous limited-edition PS4 consoles have sold-out very fast and they typically don’t see many restocks. The Destiny and Call of Duty PS4 bundles sold well during their initial launch month, and then became quite difficult to track down without having to pay a premium.

Final Fantasy is one of the most popular franchises to the PlayStation brand, and this bundle should sellout quickly and become quite rare following the holiday shopping season.

Final Fantasy XV will release for PS4 and Xbox One on November 29, 2016 worldwide.
