Franchise still going strong

Pokemon is one of the largest franchises, with an unmatched number of fans. This show managed to entertain people from all over the world with its seasons,Video Games, and the trading card game known under the same name.

Throughout the years its producers haven’t stopped amazing fans with its video games, beginning with the Red and Blue versions released on GameBoy. Over the course of these last twenty years, games were launched on Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Nintendo DS, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and more (with an increasing number of Pokemons in every launch).

Some of them were also imported (Ruby and SapphirePokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, from Gameboy Advance to Nintendo 3DS), as well as certain sequels (Black 2 and White 2).

Pokemon recorder huge success when it reached the 3DS handheld starting with Pokemon X and Pokemon Y versions, and now the time has come to shock fans with the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon versions, still developed by GameFreak for Nintendo. The games were announced today at the Nintendo Direct presentation and they are expected to be launched by the end of 2016.

Not many details have yet been made public, although they did announce that Magearna, a legendary Pokemon that features in the new Pokemon movie to be launched this summer will appear in the new versions, yet the logos of the two games were already launched and at the same times a few graphic-related concepts were insinuated, at the same time showing the current level of development of the project.

These are not the only Pokemon games to be launched this year. The Red and Blue versions are to be released tomorrow, which shows a perfect timing due to the fact that fans can play the old games on the new hardware through Pokemon Bank, the application that will allow them to wirelessly transfer Pokemon from one version to another, giving them the possibility to transfer the pocket monsters into the new versions to be released in the winter.
