The Indiana Pacers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves with the score 130-107 on October 24 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Timberwolves got destroyed by the Pacers in rebounding, they were outrebounded 42-27. The Pacers also had an incredible shooting night, shooting 66.7 percent from the field, 45.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 72.7 percent from the free throw line.

The Pacers and the Timberwolves now have the same NBA record with 2-2.

Minnesota struggles without Butler

The Timberwolves had a decent night against the Pacers, but with Indiana red hot from the field, the absence of Jimmy Butler may have been a big reason why they lost. Karl Anthony-Towns had a huge game with 28 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocks while shooting 70.6 percent from the field. But it still was not enough, with Andrew Wiggins only making three of his nine field goal attempts they just could not outscore Indiana. Butler had an upper respiratory infection which led him to miss the game on Monday.

The Wolves will face the Detroit Pistons tonight, but Butler's status is still a game-time decision.

Jeff Teague and Andrew Wiggins had an awful night

Despite how good Karl Anthony-Towns played, he could not lead the Wolves to a victory with Jimmy Butler out and with Wiggins and Teague struggling with their shots. After his big game-winning shot against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he only contributed seven points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steals while shooting 33.3 percent from the field. Teague also struggled with only two points, two rebounds, two steals, and seven assists with three turnovers. If Butler will not play against Detroit tonight, Teague and Wiggins will need to be better in order for Minnesota to get the win.

Pacers shot 66.7 percent from the field

The Indiana Pacers had record-breaking night against the Timberwolves. They went 56-84 from the field, 10-22 from beyond the arc, and 8-11 from the free throw line. All Indiana players, except Lance Stephenson and Damien Wilkins, shot higher than 50 percent from the field. This marked the best field goal percentage in Indiana Pacers franchise history.

Everyone had it going for the Pacers, Victor Oldipo had 28 points, Cory Joseph had 21 points, Bojan Bogdanovic had 19 points, Tj Leaf had 11 points, and Domantas Sabonis and Darren Collison had 15 points. A total of six Pacers players had double-digits in scoring, and two of them had 20+ points. The Pacers just had one of those nights as they now have a 2-2 record in the NBA regular season.
