Cruz and Garbrandt have been quarreling back and forth on television and over social media for several months, and now, the rivalry will come to a head at UFC 207. Cruz is the first UFC bantamweight champion after the merger with the WEC, and is the most dominant 135-pound title holder since 2010. He has wins over skilled fighters like Urijah Faber, T.J. Dillashaw, and Demetrious Johnson. But Cody Garbrandt has crushing knockout power and has yet to lose a fight as a professional.

UFC 207 will headline women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes against the returning former champion, Ronda Rousey. The two title belt bouts will take place on December 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Another member of Team "Alpha Male" will try to take the bantamweight strap

Dominick Cruz's bad blood with these fighters has been going on for a while. Garbrandt and Cruz had some friction backstage at UFC 202 and had to be separated by the light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier.

Also, Cruz posted on Instagram photos of him punching former teammate T.J. Dillashaw and sponsor Urijah Faber. Since returning from an almost four-year layoff due to multiple surgeries, Cruz has been boosting the rivalry with the team and their fighters. Now he's matched up with "Alpha Male’s" latest hope.

Cody Garbrandt has been standing by to fight Dominick Cruz

Garbrandt is the top MMA prospect in the game, and holds a perfect 10-0 record with three straight first-round knockouts.

Cody is a talented boxer with speed and explosive movement. He confessed to the media that beating Cruz is something he's been thinking about for a long time, and that he has been waiting for a title shot ever since he knocked out Thomas Almeida and former WEC bantamweight title challenger Takeya Mizugaki. At 135-pounds, fans and experts are impressed with Garbrandt’s fight-stopping power. But Cruz thinks "he isn’t a top-ranked fighter and simply talked his way into a big fight."

Cody Garbrandt made his way, without a loss, into a title shot by knocking out five out of ten of his opponents.

Is he going to be the one to solve the Dominick Cruz puzzle and get past his crazy footwork?
