It was an interesting last day of the Champions League Group Stage for groups A-D. All but one of the groups featured matches that could have shifted the balance in the table. In the end, a few surprises were on hand, including Dynamo Kiev's thrashing of Besiktas and Paris-Saint Germain running into some unexpected trouble against Ludogorets.

Arsenal claim Group A

The Gunners came out on top in Group A, as the North London club defeated FC Basel thanks to a hat-trick from Lucas Perez. PSG were held to a draw in Paris, with Angel Di Maria producing a 92nd minute equalizer to avoid defeat. This is the first time in four years that Arsenal have claimed the top spot in their respective group.

Disaster for Besiktas

It was a night to forget for the Besiktas faithful as the Turkish side were routed by Dynamo Kiev 6-0. The club came into the match with a chance to advance to the Round of 16. However, they will finish just a point behind Benfica who lost at home today to Napoli.

Bayern get past Atletico Madrid

After suffering defeat in matchday one, Bayern Munich were able to find retribution against Atletico Madrid at home. A 28th minute free kick from Robert Lewandowski found the back of the net and proved to be the decisive moment of the match. The match was seemingly meaningless in terms of placings in the group, but it may just give some confidence to the German club.

Barcelona set new record

Its been a decade of dominance in the UEFA Champions League Group Stage for FC Barcelona. The Spanish club set a new Champions League record today by winning their group for the tenth straight season. A 4-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach was the icing on the cake to another dominant performance.
