As the fantasy Football season draws closer to the playoffs, each decision gets even more important. One of the most important decisions a fantasy owner can make in any given week is selecting the best defense possible. Selecting a defense that produces a negative point total can prove disastrous and fantasy owners should strive to avoid that. Last week's top ten article was highly successful in that regard and this week will be no different.

1. Patriots D/ST.

The Patriots play at home against the Rams and are favored by almost 14 points. Jared Goff is a terrible quarterback who is very mistake prone and the Patriots defense will take advantage and produce a solid fantasy output.

2. Broncos D/ST.

The Jaguars didn't turn the ball over last week against the Buffalo Bills, but they still lead the NFL in negative turnover margin. The Broncos defense is better than that of the Bills and the Broncos will likely need some help from their defense if they are going to emerge victorious on the road.

3. Ravens D/ST.

The Dolphins are on a roll but should have trouble against a Ravens defense that has stopped the run all year. Jay Ajayi will struggle to get things going against the Ravens elite run defense and Tannehill will struggle to pass against a Ravens defense that has been elite all season.

4. Packers D/ST.

The Packers finally got back on track with a victory against the Eagles in week 12.

Now they get to play against a Texans team led by Brock Osweiler, a juicy matchup that should result in plenty of fantasy points.

5. Seahawks D/ST.

The Panthers have had a really poor season while the Seahawks have continued their run of excellence. Seattle will now get to play at home against Cam Newton, who has thrown two pick sixes in his last two starts.

Seattle's defense should have another solid fantasy day here.

6. Jaguars D/ST.

It sounds weird, but the Jaguars actually have a decent defense. They get to play at home against a young quarterback in Trevor Siemian and could easily produce a big fantasy day if they force Siemian into mistakes.

7. Bengals D/ST.

The Bengals defense is pretty solid, but their offense has struggled throughout the year. I like the Bengals defense as a streaming option against mistake prone quarterback Carson Wentz at home.

8. Dolphins D/ST.

The Ravens might be winning games, but they aren't winning because of offense. The Dolphins defense has been excellent in their six game winning streak and should once again have a good fantasy day against Joe Flacco and the struggling Ravens offense.

9. Steelers D/ST.

I'm a bit wary of the matchup against the Giants, but I still like the Steelers defense at home. Eli Manning throws enough interceptions to make this play worth it, especially if you are in need of a defense.

10. Eagles D/ST.

The Bengals offense continues to make mistakes throughout the year, opening the door for the Eagles defense to have a nice day. The Eagles are the 6th highest scoring fantasy defense and score enough touchdowns to take the risk with them in this road matchup.
