Alexis Sanchez has been offered a big money move to China as his contract stand-off with Arsenal continues, according to a report released by The Mirror. The 28-year-old scored a hat-trick in Arsenals 5-1 victory over West Ham over the weekend, taking the Chilean's goal tally to 11 goals in just 14 Premier League games this season.

Sanchez to swap the Premier League for China?

The report claims that representatives of Sanchez have been approached by several Chinese clubs and agents with some teams willing to pay up to £400,000-a-week wages for the former Barcelona man, which would make Sanchez the Chinese Super League's biggest transfer coup to date.

Arsenal are said to be aware of the interest coming from the high-spending Chinese teams but cannot come close to offering the same type of salary to renew Sanchez's contract, which expires in 2018. Italian giants Juventus have also expressed an interest in Sanchez, but despite being one of Europe's most lucrative clubs, could not match the money on offer from China.

Sanchez may not resign with Arsenal

Arsenal will be aware that the interest in Sanchez coming from the Far East may be used by the Chilean as a bargaining tool in his ongoing contract negotiations with the club, and will only seek to add to growing concern that their star man may not renew his contract past 2018.

Sanchez is currently on £130,000 a week at Arsenal and is the clubs highest earner, however, is pushing for a bigger contract with only 18-months left remaining on his current deal with the London side.

Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has urged Sanchez to not allow financial incentives to determine the future of his career but with the 28-year-old in such a strong negotiating position Arsenal may have to try and cash in on Sanchez next summer, rather than risk running his contract down and allowing him to leave freely in 18 months time.

Robin Van Persie infamously refused to sign a new contract with Arsenal in 2012 after finishing as the Premier Leagues top scorer, he then moved to bitter rivals Manchester United for a humble sum of £22 million, something Arsenal will look to avoid repeating with Sanchez as contract talks continue.
