The Nebraska Football team is looking to get another talented running back in this class and it appears the coaching staff believes Darrian Felix fits that bill. The Huskers coaching staff reportedly offered the Florida back on Wednesday morning. The recruit announced he had received an offer on his Twitter account and now the real work begins. The Cornhuskers are going to have their work cut out for them. This is yet another recruit where NU is going up against the Oregon Ducks but they are also going to have to fight off Miami, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Keeping him away from the coasts

Felix' choices of schools is a rather eclectic group, with Tennessee being the SEC team that has shown him the most love, despite the fact that he's from Florida.

If he decides he doesn't want to be on the right side of the country, there are always schools like Oregon and Arizona wanting his services. The Nebraska football team is going to have to recruit hard over the next few months as they are also late to the party.

Oregon is the big target

While the Florida native is being pursued by SEC schools, recruiting service 247Sports believes he's a heavy lean to the Ducks. Even knowing that the Nebraska football team is going to have to keep an eye on North Carolina, who was the most recent recipient of a visit from the running back recruit that seems to be getting quite a bit more attention from bigger schools these days. It's likely that as the recruiting season winds down, Felix has shown the ability to get more attention because he's put up some very good numbers as a runner and also someone who can be a weapon as a receiver out of the backfield.

Now the question is whether or not the Huskers got in on this player too late. There are just a few months until National Signing Day and Felix has likely already forged quite a few relationships with the coaches on the schools that have been recruiting him longer. Nebraska football has it's work cut out for it, but this coaching staff has a chance.
