Greg Monroe could be on his way out of Milwaukee, according to recent reports. The talented center has been seeing his playing time dip since the beginning of the season and he is apparently not too thrilled about riding the bench.

Is Greg Monroe on his way out of Milwaukee?

The Milwaukee Bucks other two centers Miles Plumlee and John Henson have both been getting on the court more frequently than Monroe and that is not something you would expect from a former first-round lottery pick. For whatever reason Monroe seems to be the odd man out in head coach Jason Kidd's rotation. Some have even speculated that there is an internal situation going on between him and the coach, which is why he appears to always be in the coach's "doghouse."

Whatever the case may be, Monroe wants out and the Bucks seem as if they're going to be willing to make that wish happen.

The team would be better off getting assets back for Monroe through a trade instead of letting him inevitably go for nothing once he hits the free agent market.

NY Knicks interested in the Bucks center

The New York Knicks are one of several teams that would like to acquire the rights to Greg Monroe. They could use a lot of help in their front court due to the fact that starting center and newcomer Joakim Noah can't seem to stay healthy and they don't have much valuable depth at the position behind him.

Greg Monroe has never really been known to be a great defender but will bring some much needed offensive firepower to the Knicks front line. His offensive prowess down low alongside budding superstar Kristaps Porzingis would create a devastating 1-2 combo.

This would be an absolute immediate upgrade to their roster and would allow them to contend for a top playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Greg Monroe teamed with the aforementioned Porzingis, Derrick Rose, and Carmelo Anthony would form a solid and competitive core. Either way, the NY Knicks may need to make some changes as the trade deadline approaches whether its Greg Monroe or not, especially if they want to challenge Lebron James and the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers.
