Is it possible that NBA superstar Anthony Davis could be on his way out of New Orleans? Based on recent speculation this could absolutely be the case.

Anthony Davis to leave New Orleans?

The New Orleans Pelicans have been near the bottom of the Western Conference for the past few years despite having one of the league's best talents in power forward Anthony Davis. As a team they have dealt with numerous injuries to the core that surrounds Davis, including guards Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday. The Pelicans may be looking to move Anthony Davis otherwise known as "AD" in order to ensure they get something in return for him.

He could leave when he becomes a free agent and then they would get absolutely nothing (similar to when Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors).

The Pelicans might have to take the best offer available just to make sure that that nightmare scenario doesn't happen. Anthony Davis has made it clear that he loves New Orleans and would like to stay but it's highly unlikely if the team can't find a way to win or if they are unable to put the right pieces around him so they can be successful.

Toronto Raptors interested in a trade

One team among several that definitely would love to have a player the caliber of Anthony Davis is the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors are currently in a battle with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference and the addition of Davis would help them solidify their position.

He would bring a scoring presence to the Toronto front court that is desperately needed. Davis also would be an upgrade defensively over Patrick Patterson and rookie Pascal Siakam.

The offer that Toronto reportedly has on the table is DeMarre Carroll, Terrence Ross, Jonas Valanciunas, and a first round draft pick for Anthony Davis.

This deal would seemingly benefit both teams because the Raptors would get one of the best players in the world to play alongside all-stars DeMar Derozan and Kyle Lowry and the Pelicans can go into a full rebuild with some appealing assets to work with. As the season progresses trade talks could very well heat up and we could possibly see "AD" in another uniform.
