Kobe and Vanessa Bryant welcome another daughter

Even if Kobe Bryant did manage to leave both his legacy and his team in good hands when he retired at the end of last season following an impressive 20 years in the league, there isn't a member of the Laker faithful that doesn't wish to see "The Mamba" suit up once more in the purple and gold. Even though Los Angeles has a pool of young talent to build around in the coming years, there will always be a void in the hearts of Laker Nation that only KB24 can fill.

With that said, however, it's clear that Kobe is continuing to build his legacy in another way (and that he's been keeping busy in his life after Basketball), as he and his wife Vanessa have just welcomed their third daughter into the world.

Another three-peat for Kobe

When fans think of three-peat and Kobe Bryant, one is likely to conjure up the Kobe and Shaq era, when, led by Phil Jackson on the bench, the Lakers won three consecutive titles from 2000-2002. That alone is an incredible feat in and of itself. Prior to the Kobe and Shaq era three-peat, only 4 other teams have managed to accomplish the same throughout the entire course of basketball's history (Minneapolis Lakers, 1952-1954, Boston Celtics, 1959-1966, and the Chicago Bulls twice, 1991-1993, and 1996-1998).

Now, Kobe Bryant has nabbed another three-peat, albeit off the court, as another Baby Mamba joins a family that includes daughters Natalia (13) and Gianna (10).

It's safe to say that with Kobe retired from the game of basketball, he will have plenty of time now to be a father to his growing family.

That said, however, there is no doubt that many fans out there still hope that the now 38-year-old Bryant could somehow mount a comeback. Throughout his entire career, even before he ever set foot on an NBA basketball court, Bryant was drawing comparisons to Michael Jordan. Fans of MJ will certainly recall the multiple times his Airness came out of retirement, and one has to wonder if the Mamba might try something similar.

Even if not in an on-court capacity, perhaps we will see Kobe involved with the league in some form or another. For the moment, though, KB24 is another proud Papa Mamba.
