Major League Baseball's (MLB) World Series concludes tonight, Wednesday November 2, 2016. Game 7 of the World Series, between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians, starts at 8:00 pm EST on FOX. Regardless of who you are pulling for, it’s always exciting to see a World Series go the full seven games. No matter how long you have been watching baseball, chances are you didn’t predict these two teams would be facing each other for the coveted championship. The Indians are hoping to win their third World Series; the last time they won the championship was 1948. The Cubs are also looking to win the championship for the third time; the last time they won was in 1908.

Betting odds

The betting odds opened up on most Las Vegas books with an over/under at 7, and the line for the Cubs at -140. The betting line for the Indians was at +130. Most books now have the over/under at 6.5, and the Cubs as a road favorite with the line averaging at -115. The Indians are sitting on a line average at +105.

A quick look at the Cubs and the Indians

Most thought that the Indians had the championship in the bag, because as at one point they were leading the series 3-1. Chicago finally got pep in their step and they have won the last two games, leading us to the grand finale. Chicago is counting on their big hitters: Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, and Javier Baez. They will also be relying on their starting pitchers, Kyle Hendricks and Jon Lester.

The Indians will be counting on their star hitters: Jason Kipnis, Francisco Lindor, and Jose Ramirez. And their ace pitchers, Corey Kluber and Cody Allen, are rested and ready to go.

Game 7 prediction

Most likely Vegas has the Cubs as the slight favorite to balance out the books.

Make no mistake, the home field advantage counts! The home team has been victorious in Game 7 bouts nine out of the last ten times. Chicago has been on a streak as of late, but most likely this will come to an end. Look for Kluber to shine as he has been on fire. In the last 40 innings, he has allowed only seven runs.

Plus, he has shut down the Cubs twice already. History points to the Indians winning this game, and there seems to be no reason to argue with that.

MLBWorld Series Game 7 prediction: The Cleveland Indians win in a low scoring game.
