With four teams on bye, it gets far more difficult to determine which fantasy defenses should be played by owners within any given week. We did a pretty good job ranking defenses last week, with the Chargers and Ravens turning in big performances. Now let's take a look at the top 10 week 10 fantasy Football defenses.

1. Ravens D/ST.

You really have to feel bad for the Browns. They've started the season 0-9 and didn't even come to close to being competitive with a Cowboys team that has been solid all season.

Now the Browns are going to run into a red hot Ravens defense on the road in a short week. Expect a huge fantasy performance from the Ravens defense on Thursday night.

2. Cardinals D/ST.

Arizona opened as 13 point favorites against a 49ers team that has been a disaster all year. Colin Kaepernick managed to score some points against a weak Saints defense at home last week, but he won't be so lucky against a Cardinals defense that scored 17 fantasy points in the earlier matchup.

3. Jets D/ST.

Any team that plays the Rams is a must play in fantasy leagues at this point. Case Keenum is an ineffective quarterback and the Jets should have plenty of opportunities to rack up fantasy points on Sunday.

4. Patriots D/ST.

The Patriots are the most dominant team in the NFL right now and are coming off a bye week. The Seahawks offense has been awful all year and they will be tired from a quick Monday night turnaround. Don't be afraid of the Seahawks offense and start the Patriots with confidence in week 10.

5. Panthers D/ST.

The Chiefs dink and dunk style of play is about to be blown up by a Panthers defense that specializes in breaking up those types of passes. Teams that have had success against the Panthers defense this season have thrown the ball deep, something the Chiefs haven't yet proven they can effectively do.

6. Texans D/ST.

The Jaguars were turnover machines last week, fumbling three times and adding an interception for good measure. That tendency makes the Texans a solid fantasy play in week 10.

7. Jaguars D/ST.

The Jaguars defense actually kept the team in the game against the Chiefs in week 9. They'll have another opportunity to force a struggle in week 10 when they face quarterback Brock Osweiler, who has struggled mightily this season.

8. Rams D/ST.

The Rams offense is awful, but the defense isn't too bad. Fitzpatrick throws enough interceptions to make a pick six and a decent fantasy day for this unit possible. Start them with confidence if you are need of a streaming option in week 10.

9. Chiefs D/ST.

This is a bit low for a defense that has forced the highest number of turnovers all season, but I'm wary of Cam Newton and the Panthers. This Chiefs team isn't great at defending the run, something that Cam and the Panthers like to emphasize. I'm starting the Chiefs if I own them, but exercise caution in fantasy expectations this week.

10. Redskins D/ST.

The Vikings offense is not good.

As long as the Redskins manage to avoid allowing defensive touchdowns, the unit should be in line for a decent fantasy day in week 10.
