The Texans vs. Raiders 2016 live stream and TV matchup will be featured for Monday Night Football, as both teams are currently alive in the playoff chase. The two squads will meet in Mexico City with the hopes of getting another crucial win. Right now, Oakland is considered the second-best team in the AFC. For the Texans, they'd take the No. 3 spot if the post-season started today. Tonight's televised and live streaming NFL game could very well provide a playoffs preview contested at a neutral site. With important NFL Thanksgiving games coming later this week, both teams will be hungry to get a win before enjoying turkey dinner.

The Raiders among the elite?

This season has been full of surprises and for the Oakland fanbase this one is pleasant. After years of missed playoff appearances, they now own a 7-2 record in the AFC. A win tonight will give them an even record with the AFC's best team, the New England Patriots. However, the Houston Texans are no slouch.

If the NFL playoffs were to begin today, the Oakland Raiders have a No. 2 seed, which gives them a bye. However, the Broncos and Chiefs are both at 7-3, while Houston is 6-3. Any of those teams could overtake the Raiders' seed position if they stumble. Oakland comes into this matchup winners of three-straight, including their 30-20 defeat of Denver. Can Derek Carr and company take down Houston in Mexico City?

They'll also enter the game off a bye week.

Houston staying competitive

Former Denver Broncos' quarterback Brock Osweiler has taken over in Houston and is helping lead the way towards the post-season. Osweiler certainly doesn't have Peyton Manning like stats with 1,818 yards thrown along with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

However, he doesn't need them so much thanks to a few things.

For one, running back Lamar Miller is ranked amongst the top ten running backs in the league, and that's ahead of this game. Miller currently has 716 yards on the ground, to go with just two touchdowns. Despite a recent injury, Miller is expected to play tonight and should pass Matt Forte on the top 10 list, even with a subpar game.

However, it's the other stats category for Houston that is a reason they remain competitive in a tough league. Right now, the Texans sport one of the top defenses in the league. They rank No. 12 in terms of points allowed to opponents, and heading into tonight's game have allowed just 317.4 yards per game to their competition. That ranks them fourth and has them still in the chase for a post-season spot.
