OGC Nice have not left much on the table so far this season in French Ligue 1 play. Through 11 matches they have tallied 29 points in the standings out of a possible 33. They remain undefeated at 9-2-0 and currently have a comfortable six-point lead in the standings.

One team they are leading is Paris Saint-Germain. PSG, who remain huge betting favorites to win Ligue 1 (-400 with bet365), have 23 points in the standings. That's an amount that ties them with Monaco, a team who are out at 9/1 with bet365 and Stan James in the league's ante-post.

PSG over-rated as favorites

It's definitely time to start looking at PSG as a very under-rated club.

They certainly aren't a poor man's team as they are 7-2-2 through nine matches. However, -400 against a field of 19 other teams is ridiculously short for a team that sits in third place through well more than a quarter of the season. It could be that Paris Saint-Germain took a pounding in the pre-season and why not? They entered the campaign on the heels of four straight titles.

But PSG have started to draw some criticism, perhaps unfairly given that they are a very good team at 7-2-2. However, when you have won so many recent championships then anything less than perfection will draw many raised eyebrows. On October 28th The Indian Express, in an article with no author listed, stated: "Since Zlatan Ibrahimovic left Paris Saint-Germain, the sparkle has gone from Angel Di Maria’s play.

The...winger is a pale imitation of the player he was last season, when he enjoyed the best season of his career." Ibrahimovic himself isn't have a great season with his new club, Manchester United, as he looks over-rated in the scoring favorites in the Premier League.

Nice at 12 to 1 to win outright

Betfair still have Nice at 12/1 to win the Ligue 1 title.

Those are odds that promise to shorten soon as they lag behind the other sportsbooks. 9/1 is still available with Stan James, but most sportsbooks have Nice in the 5/1 to 6/1 range. Given their start to the season, the comfortable lead they enjoy, and the fact that the favorite appears well overbacked, taking Nice at 12/1 may be the smart move before it's too late.

Other betting value is out there as well, including with Wolverhampton in the English Championship league and with Stoke in the Premier League.
