On Saturday, one of the biggest match-ups of the 2016 NCAA football season takes place with the Michigan vs. Ohio State live stream and televised game. Currently, the two Big Ten teams are ranked at No. 3 and No. 2, respectively, with both considered part of the college Football Playoffs picture. The winner will gain the edge in terms of a tie for the Big Ten East division lead as well as with their standing for the playoff system. The loser may still be a part of the playoff picture or could need a bit of help to still get in. Thanks to the Ohio State live streaming and televised coverage, fans around the nation can witness the epic battle.

No. 3 Michigan Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines enter the game with a record of 7-1 in the conference and 10-1 overall. So far the only blemish on their record for the season was a loss just two games ago, 14-13 to Iowa. They bounced back from it last week by defeating Big Ten foe Indiana 20-10 at home. Now they hit the road for looks like their toughest game of the season.

However, the numbers speak for themselves in terms of why this team is where they are. Michigan ranks first in the nation in defense when it comes to points allowed, giving up just 10.9 to opponents a game. They're also No. 10 in the country in scoring, as they put up 42.1 per contest. Rushing has been one of their strong suits on offense, as they average 235.3 yards a game, good for 20th in the country.

De'Veon Smith has been the man on the ground with his 750 yards and 10 touchdowns on 144 carries.

However, they'll be up against an Ohio State team that outdoes them in several of the aforementioned categories and seems to know how to win season after season behind one of the game's top coaches.

No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes

The second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes are the No. 3 team in the nation when it comes to points allowed. They've given up just 13 points a game to opponents. While that's a few spots below Michigan, they rank No.

5 in points scored, putting up 43.8 on average each game. They're also the No. 8 rushing team with 263.1 yards a game on the ground. Mike Weber has been the top back there with season stats of 1,046 yards and eight touchdowns on 166 carries.

Ohio State has an identical record to Michigan of 7-1 in the conference and 10-1 overall. Their sole loss this season was a shocking upset in late October when Penn State defeated them 24-21 at State College. The difference was a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown by the Nittany Lions' Grant Haley, followed by PSU's defense coming up big. They were able to get to Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett twice in the final moments of the game for sacks to help seal the win.

With that in mind, both teams have their one loss, but both losses were very close games. Will this one be a lopsided final, or go down to the wire?
