The NFL has an obvious problem on their hands and it is being exposed on 'Monday Night Football.' The referees made two absolutely awful calls at the end of the first half of the game and have generally been bad for the entire night. That poor officiating has Twitter in an uproar and the heads of NFL officiating had no choice but to respond and admit the crew's mistakes.

Mike Pereira Decides to Weigh In.

Pereira is the former vice president of NFL officiating and had his own opinions about what should have been called at the end of the first half. It certainly looks like it disturbed somebody's dinner.

And that's not the only thing that disturbed the former vice president of NFL officiating. Even he wants an explanation from an officiating crew that wasn't very clear with the determination of bad call earlier in the game.

And I would also like to hear an explanation from these officials for their disastrous decision in this matter. What on earth were they thinking? Who in their right mind would choose to give a team exactly four seconds to actually snap the ball?

And that wasn't even the only egregious call in the game. For that, let's refer to NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino.

Dean Blandino's Reaction to the Plays.

The end of the first half in this game is nothing short of a disaster for a league that has been plagued by inconsistent with its calls in the past few seasons.

And that's not a great look for the NFL. So Blandino obviously has a duty as the vice president of officiating to respond to egregious calls like these. And just how did he respond?

Even Blandino admitted the bad call!

The roughing the kicker penalty was so obvious that he had no choice not only to admit the error but also admit that Dan Carpenter should have been allowed to enter the game after Sherman's dirty play. But I can't help but notice that Blandino conveniently left out the fact that the delay of game penalty was an error. Was he planning on responding to that? Or would he just like to admit that the current status of the NFL referees looks a little bit like this?

The NFL is going to have to take a serious look at this game and consider changing the structure of the rules so that bad calls like this aren't allowed in the future.
