Last week's article on fantasy defenses featured some of the highest scoring ones of the week, including the Broncos, Chargers, and Titans. This week features a new slate of matchups that will be even harder to predict with six teams on bye. Who are the top teams that should be starting for your fantasy teams this week?

1. Seahawks D/ST.

The Buffalo Bills frustrated their fans so much last week that they were forced to remind fans of proper behavior. What do you think is going to happen when the Bills head into Seattle on Monday night? It's hard to see a Bills team that relies so heavily on the run doing much against a Seahawks defense that prioritizes stopping that aspect of offense.

Expect a solid fantasy performance in week 9 from the unit.

2. Packers D/ST.

The Falcons managed to beat the Packers in week 8, but the Colts won't be so lucky. Andrew Luck is the most sacked quarterback in the league and will likely go down at least a few times against a Green Bay defensethat has a very solid pass rush.

3. Chiefs D/ST.

Kansas City has one of the best fantasy defenses and they have scored at least six fantasy points in each of the last three weeks. Now the Chiefs will get to take on a Jaguars offense that has struggled in every game this season. Expect a big fantasy game for the Chiefs this week.

4. Vikings D/ST.

It feels like a crime to list this fantasy defense at just the fourth spot.

The Vikings have clearly been the best fantasy defense all season and have scored double digit fantasy points in every game except one. Matthew Stafford hasn't turned the ball over much, but that could change against a team that has played great defense all year.

5. Panthers D/ST.

The Panthers were the highest scoring fantasy defense in week 8 and should be among the top scorers again in week 9.

Case Keenum has a penchant for turnovers and the Panthers will definitely force a few against the mistake prone quarterback.

6. Chargers D/ST.

The Chargers defense actually managed to score 13 fantasy points against the Broncos in a loss. In week 9, things will get easier at home against a Titans team that allows a ton of points to opposing fantasy defenses.

7. Ravens D/ST.

Landry Jones is not a good quarterback. The Ravens defense is therefore a solid fantasy play at home against the Steelers in week 9.

8. Cowboys D/ST.

Cleveland doesn't actually allow that many fantasy points to opposing defenses, but the Cowboys are on a huge roll. That roll will continue against the Browns and Dallas' defense should still be able to produce a reasonable amount of fantasy points.

9. Lions D/ST.

The Vikings might have an excellent defense, but their offense is still awful. Bradford can be forced into turnovers and the Lions will definitely have at least a few chances to get turnovers and compile sacks in week 9 against the Vikings.

10. Raiders D/ST.

At this point, the fantasy options get a little bit thin.

I'll take my chances with a Raiders defense that is playing at home against a mistake prone Trevor Siemian in week 9.
