Fantasy owners are faced with plenty of decisions at the halfway point of the 2016 season. Do I blow up my team with trades? Which players should I trade away? Even if your team is undefeated, there are still questions about which players should be started on a weekly basis. In week 8, six fantasy defenses are on bye, leaving owners with just 26 options. Last week's article delivered with some of the best fantasy defenses of the week. Here are the ten best fantasy Football defenses for week 8.

1. Vikings D/ST.

The best fantasy defense in the league put in another solid performance against the Eagles and scored ten fantasy points in a loss.

This week, the Vikings will get to take on an uncertain quarterback situation in Chicago. If Matt Barkley plays, the Vikings defense will definitely put up some big fantasy numbers. Even if Cutler plays, the Vikings should still have a chance for a double digit fantasy performance.

2. Broncos D/ST.

The Broncos defense has averaged double digit fantasy points this season and now gets a matchup against a Chargers team that is far worse on the road than they are at home. Expect plenty of sacks of Philip Rivers and a solid performance from the Broncos defense in week 8.

3. Jets D/ST.

The Browns aren't actually the best team to play fantasy defenses against, but defenses do always put up a solid number of points.

Another injury to a Browns quarterback in week 7 brought in quarterback Kevin Hogan, who may be forced into starting action in week 8. The Jets defense should be able to take advantage and turn in a solid fantasy performance.

4. Titans D/ST.

Tennessee played a tough game against the Colts but lost in a shoot-out.

In week 8, the Titans will get to take on a Jaguars offense that seems to be stuck in neutral this season. The Titans pass rush is good enough for the fantasy defense to get a few sacks and potentially score a touchdown against a turnover prone Blake Bortles.

5. Cowboys D/ST.

The Eagles did get a victory against the Vikings, but it was an ugly one.

Philadelphia had four turnovers and really struggled to move the ball against a very tough Vikings defense. Things won't get any easier for the Eagles against a Cowboys defensethat has stifled opposing offenses all season long.

6. Bengals D/ST.

The Bengals are far better at home than they are on the road. In week 8, the Bengals will get to take on a Redskins team that managed to score just three points in the first half against a terrible Lions defense at home.

7. Bears D/ST.

The offense is awful, but the Bears are actually playing decent football on defense this season. The Bears only touchdown in week 7 came on a sack fumble, something that could easily happen again when the Vikings come to Chicago in week 8.

8. Texans D/ST.

Houston's defense hasn't been great at putting up great fantasy numbers, but that willchange against a Lions offense that hasn't seen a defense of Houston's caliber yet this season. Expect a solid fantasy day for the Texans in week 8.

9. Patriots D/ST.

The Patriots have just one loss all season and it came against a scrappy Bills team that managed to beat them without Tom Brady. The revenge game will take place in Buffalo for week 8. Brady will likely come out firing, which means the Bills will have to pass to keep up with the high scoring Patriots offense. That means more opportunities to sack Tyrod Taylor and more chances to rack up fantasy points.

10. Eagles D/ST.

It's hard to not put the Eagles on this list after they scored 25 fantasy points in week 7.

But it is really hard to justify starting them against a Cowboys offense that has been dominating the NFL. The Eagles penchant for scoring defensive touchdowns lands them in the tenth spot, but they should be started with caution in week 8.
