Week 6 of the fantasy Football season brings several intriguing matchups. The Buffalo Bills have won three straight games and will try to make it a fourth at home against a struggling 49ers defense. Tom Brady will tryto continue his comeback against a Bengals team that just got destroyed by a very good Cowboys team. And there are a ton of other matchups that will bring plenty of excitement. Let's take a look at the ten best fantasy defenses for week 6 of the NFL season.

1. Bills D/ST.

The Bills are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now after ripping off three straight wins against the Cardinals, Patriots, and Rams.

This red-hot defense will now get to play at home against a very weak 49ers offense that hasn't yet proven that it can actually move the ball without turnovers. The quarterback right now is uncertain, but it shouldn't matter for a Bills defense that has been one of the best fantasy defenses this year.

2. Titans D/ST.

The Cleveland Browns are not good at football. Quarterback Cody Kessler got hurt against the Patriots and Cleveland may now have to start Charlie Whitehurst, something that will certainly result in a disaster. Expect a big performance from this fantasy defense in week 6.

3. Patriots D/ST.

The Patriots have Tom Brady back and the rest of the league was put on notice after a blowout of the Browns.

This week, the Patriots will take on a Bengals team that was absolutely shut down by the Cowboys defense. The Bengals offense has struggled of late, meaning more opportunities for the Patriots defense in week 6.

4. Seahawks D/ST.

The Seahawks and the Falcons will clash this week in a matchup that features an elite defense and an elite offense.

In those matchups, the elite defense usually wins. Seattle's defense is always excellent at home and shouldfinally put an end to Matt Ryan's hot start to the season.

5. Cardinals D/ST.

The Cardinals are coming off a week 5 win against the 49ers in which they scored plenty of fantasy points off turnovers and sacks.

In week 6, they will get to play at home against a Jets team that has struggled to produce offensively for the last three weeks.

6. Lions D/ST.

Detroit's defense isn't the most elite group in the world, but the Ram's offense could certainly be characterized as less than elite. Case Keenum was destroyed by a Bills defense that scored a defensive touchdown and forced two more turnovers in week 5. It's worth starting a Lions defense playing against a very weak Rams offense at home.

7. Giants D/ST.

It's really hard to recommend playing the Giants defense, but it will be worth it in week 6 against a bad Ravens offense. The Ravens scored just 10 points in week 5 against a really poor Redskins defense and have struggled offensive all season.

The Giants are not elite, but they can get the job done against a bad Ravens offense in week 6.

8. Ravens D/ST.

Baltimore doesn't have a great offense, but they do have a great defense. The Giants struggle to score anything other than field goals and these two teams will likely be locked in a low scoring battle with plenty of opportunities for fantasy points.

9. Rams D/ST.

The Rams offense doesn't take away from the fact that this is one of the best defensive groups in the entire NFL. They couldn't hold the Bills offense in check, but have limited other offenses, including the Seahawks, to low numbers of points. The Lions aren't the most productive offense, which means nore opportunities for the Rams defense.

10. Steelers D/ST.

Pittsburgh's defense is on a roll and has held both the Chiefs and Jets offenses to less than fifteen points. Now the Steelers get to play against a Dolphins team and offense that has been less than stellar this season. Expect plenty of sacks and a solid performance from the Steelers defense in week 6.
