Week 7 of fantasy Football saw the emergence of Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi, who had been counted out by plenty of fantasy owners, including me, earlier in the season. Which fantasy player will be the Jay Ajayi of the fantasy football playoffs? It could be one of the four listed below. And even if he isn't, these guys from the waiver wire will definitely help improve the teams of fantasy owners.

1. Brandon LaFell (12.7% Ownership, ESPN)

The Bengals have more than one wide receiver now! LaFell has scored four touchdowns in his last three games and is averaging double digit fantasy points in his last three games.

That's a recipe for success and is a welcome sight for fantasy owners currently struggling to find good wide receivers right now. Try to add LaFell from the waiver wire if you can.

2. Jack Doyle (14.9% Ownership, ESPN)

The Colts tight end opened his season with a two touchdown, fifteen point fantasy performance. Nobody thought much of it and Doyle followed that performance with just nine fantasy points in four consecutive weeks. In weeks six and seven, Doyle scored double digit fantasy points again with Dwayne Allen out. With thin depth at the tight end position, it's time to trade in a weaker player for a guy like Doyle on the waiver wire.

3. Russell Shepard (0.0% Ownership, ESPN)

Where did this guy come from?

With Vincent Jackson out, Shepard caught five passes for 77 yards and a touchdown, scoring 13 fantasy points in the process. As the second target in a pass happy Buccaneers offense, Shepard will have continued fantasy value moving forward. And he's currently available on every single waiver wire!

4. Chris Thompson (14.2% Ownership, ESPN)

Almost any decent running back has fantasy value, thanks to a scarcity of quality at the position. That's why it's surprising to see that Thompson is on the waiver wire in many fantasy leagues. In week 7, Thompson got a majority of the carries and added forty receiving yards to his totals.

He will have fantasy value moving forward and can be considered a decent flex play against a Bengals team hasn't done a great job of stopping the run this season.
