Last week I took a look at several players who could have been dropped after week 4. Those who heeded my advice were not disappointed as Justin Forsett, Ryan Tannehill, Golden Tate, and Gio Bernard combined for just fifteen fantasy points. In this article, I'll take a look at another four players who can be safely dropped after poor week 5 performances.

1. Jacob Tamme.

The tight end position in fantasy is weak this year, which means that Tamme is owned in approximately half of all ESPN leagues. He shouldn't be. Tamme scored zero points in week 5 and has just 8 combined fantasy points in the last three weeks combined.

Tamme's value is pretty much gone now and he should be dropped in favor of another tight endwho might actually produce.

2. C.J. Uzomah.

The Bengals tight end had short term value with Tyler Eifert out but will no longer have anyvalue now that he is back. He didn't manage to score many fantasy points in his time as a starter, but was actually owned in 10% of all ESPN leagues. If you own him, it's time to get rid of him and add a player who could actually turn into something later on.

3. Latavius Murray.

Is this really an overreaction? Let's consider the production that Murray has put forth so far. He's scored 12, 15, 9, and 1 fantasy point in four games. In three of those games, Murray scored a touchdown.

Without those three touchdowns Murray would have scored just 20 fantasy points in four weeks. Now it looks like the Raiders are starting to get comfortable with a committee approach that sees Jalen Richard and Deandre Washington get touches in the offense. The Raiders pass far too much for Latavius to retain a lot of his value moving forward.

4. Sterling Shepard.

The Giants wide receiver managed to score just one fantasy point against a defense that had allowed the second most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. That's a bad sign for a player who scored just three points in the week before that. Shepard started the year with three straight double digit performances but it's starting to look like fantasy owners can safely drop him without remorse afterweek 5.
